My theory as to why Roxie says error after apologizing to Cassie for grabbing her arm so rough is because like Freddy said in security breach, they’re not capable of hurting a guest. None of them are. It would go against there programming. Roxie probably had to process it as she thought she was hunting Gregory but once she realized it was Cassie, a guest registered in the system, it snapped her out of it and maybe caused a system reboot to help her

This is true, but the mimic, as explained in the video, had control of the animatronics. I believe that Roxy wasn't entirely infected. She probably still retained most of her friendly programming, as using the mask during her shut down cutscene reveals her in green, rather than red. This could mean she wasn't truly infected with the virus. Once she got shut down, her reactivation could be the back up security program MXES most likely uploaded in its last ditch effort to stop the mimic. Strangely enough, the MXES was actually the good guy rather than the bad guy.

I was thinking the same except based on birthday parties. Cause it seems freddie, Gregory’s fav character and prob his chosen bday party host, was the only one to help Gregory. But freddies body attacked Cassie. Similarly Roxie always attached Gregory but when Cassie registered to her she stopped. We know she had a bday there with Roxie as her host from the cutouts seen in the VR and Roxie knowing her bday. So maybe theres a function in them where they are set to prioritize guests who have parties hosted by a certain animatronic and for whatever reason that list wasnt corrupted.

Something that Markiplier pointed out, was that Helpi sometimes has ‘veins’ on him. It typically occurs whenever Helpi is trying to talk Cassie down whenever she walks through walls or goes through the portal doors, or whenever Helpi talks about ‘getting to her friend under the raceway’.
It may be that there are two mimics, a software and a hardware, where the software mimic program that tried getting a real body in the last game is trying to release the mimic trapped underground because Afton was fond of using animatronics to do his kidnapping.

I think its worth noting Roxy is different then Chica and Monty 100%. When equipping the mask shes the only one who gets a hologram of her old self, she also is the only one actively seeking out Gregory for what he's done. The moment she hears someone else she apologizes even before connecting the dots that its Cassie, shes also the only one the game has you go after other than Eclipse who asks for you to do it. I think this means she may be the only one of them who's original code was able to be salvaged.
Bonus for Eclipse, it shows his/Sun's code was unaffected and did know that Moon's was which is why as soon as he sees Cassie has what's needed to reboot them, he asks her help instead of just giving Moon control like he did with Gregory because hes holding out hope.

My take on the "Illusion" ending: The fredbear ending is called the brazil ending in the code. This is meant to reference a term in fiction for when a character is put under so much stress that they have a mental breakdown, go insane, and choose to retrete into a fantasy. This means that when Cassie goes the wrong way in that ending she basically suffers a complete mental breakdown at the realization that she's going to die, so while hyperventilating she puts on the mask since it has helped her escape situations in the past, but when no escape appears in the AR world... She completely loses her mind and instead mentally retreats into a fantasy world where everything is perfectly fine as she basically lets the mimic kill her. The term "brazil ending" is a reference to the movie Brazil (1985) in the movie a character is tortured, goes insane, and hides in a fantasy world where everything is fine.

I personally agree with the theory of the voice changing in the elevator. Why? Not just because of that weird sound effect, but because he says, and I quote, "I know you did it for me, to SAVE me." How did Gregory know he needed saving? Because Gregory isn't even in the Pizzaplex, and it seemed like Cassie and Gregory were originally just going to meet up. That was until the Mimic tricked Cassie into coming into the place, to shut everything down so it could be free. Because if Mimic knows who Gregory is, then it could've also known Cassie as well. Which resulted in it taking advantage of her.
Edit: Thanks for the replies for correcting me! It is true that Cassie actually wasn't supposed to go to the Pizzaplex and probably wasn't supposed to meet up with Gregory at all and was just tricked. Here’s something interesting to note the mimic doesn’t actually debut in this game, but instead within the fazbear frights novels which expand on his origins somewhat. He was meant to mimic children and learn how to play with them on an individual level, but when the child of his creator was killed in an accident, his habit of mimicking that child lead his creator to beat him repeatedly with an iron pipe, causing him to learn violence. Afterwards fazbear Inc. disassembled and recycled him with the bulk of his AI code, going into a potential future attraction at the pizzaplex called the storyteller he was using Vanessa as a proxy, to gather the various bits of his code and rebuild himself in the image of the most violent person he could find William Afton.

In my personal opinion, i do think the mimic intercepted the radio signal from gregory. Since gregory is only able to properly contact Cassie while the mimic is busy fighting off Roxy. You can hear that when the mimic defeats her, the static occurs between follow and instructions, suggesting it is no longer occupied, and returned to intercepting the radio. It seems to have been gregory in the elevator too, as that is a different radio receiver, the one built in, which takes the mimic a moment to intercept. Overall, I’m excited to see where this goes.

The two subtitles overlapping one another as the original Gregory's subtitles continue as normal and then are cut off by the fake one, The Mimic's arm being in the elevator, the strange sound in the speaker and The Mimic being able to hack programs from a distance(as shown in the Afton ending in security breach) all connects to The Mimic taking over the speakers control and cutting off Gregory while tricking Cassie into thinking her friend was betraying her. If i'm not mistaken there is also some cute dialouge from Gregory in ruin that says "Just make sure you're not followed!" And if that piefe of dialouge is in the files then it basically confirms that The Mimic was the one speaking in the end and the one who made the elevator fall. One more thing is that there's simply no way for Gregory to turn off the elevator and make it fall like The Mimic, which further backs up this theory.

    • @digitalfantasies4570
      @digitalfantasies4570 Před 9 měsíci +15

Technically, Gregory couldn't even get on the speaker to begin with since it's a speaker within the pizzaplex yet most theories involve him being cut off halfway through his conversation with Cassie, which realistically he shouldn't be able to contact Cassie on a walkie-talkie at all or on the intercom at all, so if he COULD do those things, then he could also probably shut off the elevator. Probably because this follows the ending that gas Gregory and Vanessa as friends so Vanessa is the one who probably got Gregory into the systems at the end of the game and it was Vanessa's control of the pizza plex that may allow him to shut off the elevator.

    @Neganium Před 9 měsíci +27

Another point in favor of the "It's not actually Gregory" scenario in the last bit of the default ending: someone apparently datamined the game, or whatever, and found an alternate line of dialogue, which is very similar to what "Gregory" is saying to Cassie in the end... with a crucial difference- instead of insisting that he can't risk being followed, he instead WARNS CASSIE to "make sure you're not followed". And thinking of it this way, it makes a lot of sense; after all, why on earth would he have fought so hard to save her in the first place, only to quite literally drop her in the end? Gregory may not have as much sympathy for the animatronics as Cassie seems to, but I don't think he's THAT callous to somebody he considers a friend, considering some cut lines from the main game having crying, believed to be from where Freddy was torn apart- sort of mirroring the bit with Cassie and Roxy, just a bit, isn't it?
Basically, there are more questions here that go unanswered, with a clear opening for them to BE answered somewhere down the road, whether through a sequel, or continuous releases of DLC. This makes me wonder if there are other friends of Gregory or Cassie out there, or even just unaffiliated persons who get wrapped up in the overarching mess, who happen to be tied to specific animatronics like Gregory and Cassie were? (Cassie even helps Sun/Moon/Eclipse, and she can help Chica a bit too, tho that's optional and I'm not sure how its facilitated, since I only watch playthroughs and it wasn't addressed in the one I saw.) There's also the possibility of yet undiscovered endings to wonder about, tho by this point in time I'm not as sure about that one.
Also, a friend of mine elsewhere pointed out (and it's very visible here in this video if you look) that the headless Freddy in Fazerblast has the word "PROTOTYPE" stamped across its intact foot, while the Freddy from the main game lacks this detail. It could be a case of retroactive meddling, but it could also imply that this isn't the same Freddy, even if he is similarly afflicted with headlessness. He is, perhaps, the replacement for the damaged Freddy from the seemingly canon ending, since the newspapers imply that an unrelated earthquake (or else the sinkhole finally catching up to the 'plex without Gregory's and Freddy's involvement) was what shut the place down, supposedly temporarily- tho it's clearly been at least several months, possibly even more than a year (tho not much more than that, since Gregory still sounds the same- assuming that even a brief part of the game features his actual voice). So it might've continued to run for a little while after Gregory left; Vanessa said so herself, they could easily just slap his shell on another endo and be done with it. Perhaps they were experimenting with something new at the time; or else fell back on an older model while they tried to scrape up a new one.

The Freddy missing his head has "Prototype" written under his foot. The real Freddy from the main game didn't, as you can see when upgrading him. This might mean that Freddy without his head is something completely different, and I believe Steel Wool and Scott left all of these comics and fake freddys and what not in the game in order to confuse the player and leave then constantly wondering which ending was actually canon. There are so many hints pointing to almost each and every one of them.

Maybe the way she was acting towards gregory is her programming to deal with intruders and hooligans who break into the pizzaplex after hours... so a standard security protocol. But since cassie is registered as a guest and roxy was the host of cassies birthday party. Maybe there's a secret part in the code that has the animatronics guardians of the birthday person. So cassie is registered to roxys system as a person to prioritise protecting and to allow in after hours. But only registered to roxy as allowed to be there since the other animatronics were hacked completely. So maybe roxy is just aggressive with intruders and was extra salty when Gregory stole her eyes.

One thing that is sure, the Blob is not dead as you say. It's alive and kicking and moves about, which means that Burnt Trap is still inside the capsule (if Gregory never got to toast him in the end) and the Blob is roaming the premises rebuilding itself with all the pieces and memorabilia it can find, which makes it a potential villain along with the Mimic (I theorize that it might get to fuse with the Blob in the future, or the Blob will fight it and "lose").
I expect more DLCs with another night in them. Now that we now that Gregory is outside with Vannesa and Freddy perhaps next DLC could be Gregory trying to rescue her because she never got out from the elevator, Roxy will try to protect her which will ensure that the rescue will go well...
What it really is odd is seeing Roxy "revived" after being decommissioned. Like, it makes me wonder how she got up from the weight she had on her when Cassey shut her down. It doesn't add up consistently but I guess the devs might have an answer for that because it doesn't feel right.
I don't get the other "mascots" from the secret ending. They don't look like previous mascots from the franchise at all, and why the Mimic would wear these pieces just like the Blob is wearing a mass of memorabilia on it.
But, heh, the "Gregory-was-a-robot" almost got true 😅 When I saw the red-eyes I found myself holding my breath 😆
Overall the game was a huge improvement over the last one. It shows that you don't need to abuse the "free-roaming open world" if you can offer a path or set of paths to tell a story and keep the player on their toes. But man, Monty was a laugh 🐊

If we take into consideration the theory where the mimic is talking in the second half of his conversation with Cassie in the ending, you can notice an abrupt change of the sentences' lenght. When Gregory is talking the sentence is long and has "," while when the mimic takes over, all of its phrases are cut short: "I know why you did it. You did it for me." Many pauses as if the mimic wasn't able yet to mimic Gregory's voice for too long, hence it has to pause. A human would have probably said:"I know why you did it, you did it for me"
I can't really remember how mimic tried to speak pretending to be Gregory, but i think it was through short sentences with pauses and "." In them

Another piece of evidence that can support the theory that the speaker changed from Gregory to the mimic during the final sequence in the elevator ending is the doubling of the subtitles which I've always found odd in all of the playthroughs I've watched. If it's true that the mimic replaced Gregory through the intercom, the subtitle hint that occurs during that is very creative! (Unless it's just a coincidence that just fits perfectly LOL)

  • @user-ue3gq2mr7z
    @user-ue3gq2mr7z Před 9 měsíci +603

My theory for the 1st ending, the Elevator ending, was that 'Gregory' was the one that was talking to Cassie during the elevator. Several examples from the game show why I believe that Gregory never betrayed us, including my reasons why the Mimic used Gregory's voice to lead Cassie to the elevator.
SPOILER WARNING: THIS REPLY CONTAINS SPOILERS OF SECURITY BREACH: RUIN ENDING! PROCEED WITH CAUTION
(Guys, this is JUST A GAME THEORY, and I appreciate it if anybody has any theories or comments about this!)
At the beginning of the chase scene, Cassie gets a message from ‘Gregory,’ but when Cassie asks, “Gregory? Is that you? I mean REALLy you?” he responds, “Is there another option? You need to get out of there now!” At first, it seems like Gregory is trying to focus on Cassie's priorities, but I think it's Mimic copying Gregory's voice to distract Cassie from figuring out that it isn't him. When Gregory tells us to follow his instructions, you notice a (static) just when Gregory is about to say instructions. I believe that either:
    • 1. After pushing off Roxy, the Mimic grabbed the Roxy-Talkie and used it to cut off Gregory before he could help Cassie escape, so it used Gregory’s voice as a desperate last-ditch effort so Cassie wouldn’t escape.
    • Or 2. Mimic seemed to hack into the device just before Gregory could finish talking since we heard static during the middle of the message and used it to give Cassie a false sense of security before it could corner her in the elevator.
During the chase scene, we notice that Gregory gives us many directions like "Go left" or "Turn right," even telling us if the mimic's "It's right behind you" during the entire chase scene. However, how would Gregory know that Mimic's right behind us and where to go if he was "never at the pizza plex?" Even if a particular "friend" told him, Vanessa and Freddy only explored the underground pizza plex in SB, and Mimic was buried more profound than that. I don't believe even Vanessa or Freddy could have access to that part of the pizza plex, so that doesn't make sense. Including Gregory had a difficult time trying to contact Cassie, saying that he was "trying to contact you all night," and the place is underground, so I don't think there are any cameras there for Gregory to use to guide us. So how could he tell us where to go if he couldn't see us, and how could he tell that Mimic was right behind us? Yes, Gregory could've heard that Mimic's behind us by his stomping footsteps, but how could he know where to go? A walkie-talkie can't give somebody information about that.
Another thing that bothered me was that Gregory seemed to know precisely where Cassie needed to go to escape. Still, nobody's been down there for years except for Cassie's recent visit, and Gregory seemed knowledgeable about the underground maze. That's Mimic since it's been there a long time, so it could easily remember the layout of the elevator, so it could Mimic Gregory's voice and lead Cassie to the elevator. I believe that Gregory was talking to us during his short few sentences with Cassie. However, you should note that during the middle of his message, the walkie-talkie started stating before continuing to talk to Cassie.
Finally, we hear Gregory again during the elevator drop, but he leaves a cryptic message before dropping the player to our supposed deaths. However, I don’t think that’s the case. In the beginning, Gregory sounded sorry for Cassie and guilty that she was going through all that to save her, but the rest of his message didn’t connect with what he said before and didn’t sound like Gregory. My theory was that Mimic was also able to hack into the elevator transmission and was responsible for the crashing of the elevator.
Another thing that sat well with Gregory’s message was the “I really don’t know what it is, but it’s been down here for a long time.” The reason for it was the “HERE” part of his sentence; when people talk about something that’s somewhere else, they usually use the word “THERE” instead of “HERE,” like “The clock is over there” or “That playground’s been there for a long time.” So, why would Gregory use “HERE” instead of “THERE?” It could only be the Mimic because it implies that the Mimic was “HERE for a long time,” Gregory would’ve said “there,” not “here,” so it must be the Mimic.
Another part was that Gregory knew the “M.X.E.S. security program” and its purpose. However, how would Gregory know about this program in the first place? We never saw any clues during Gregory’s time in SB, and Gregory was “never in the pizza plex in the first place,” so how could he have known about this program? Including the fact that Gregory never wore the Vanny mask. Again, it must be Mimic because it knew that the only way to escape was for Cassie to disable all security nodes, so it must have all the knowledge of the security program; I believe that maybe the Mimic mentioned this to Cassie to sell the idea that it’s Gregory talking.
Another part that bugged me is the “we can’t risk being followed,” why would Gregory spend all his time trying to get to Cassie and help her escape the underground maze just to kill her like that? If Gregory didn’t want Cassie to leave, he would’ve said, “You’re on her own,” and left her to die instead of leading her to the elevator. My theory was that Mimic cut off Gregory and that it was Mimic talking.
    • My reasons are 1. Gregory already had a hard time getting a transmission to Cassie’s walkie-talkie, so it must’ve been challenging to get through the transmission on the Elevator.
    • Another reason is 2. How could Gregory cut off the elevator if Gregory wasn’t there in the first place? It must be the Mimic cutting off Cassie escaping, including that Gregory could barely get through to Cassie, so how could he access the elevator?
    • My reason 3. is The Mimic couldn’t leave any survivors alive since Cassie was its escape form, and if she told the authorities or someone, that would be Mimic's end. So desperately it used its hacking power to cause the elevator to crash. The “we can’t risk being followed” is implied to the Mimic, saying it can’t be risked being followed, so it kills Cassie so she can’t escape and risk getting Mimic caught.
    • My reason 4. Is the fact that Gregory said, “We can’t risk being followed,” but never said that “We can’t risk YOU being followed,” which would’ve made more sense because the Mimic was following Cassie, but he didn’t. The “We” must be Mimic can’t be risked being followed, so the Mimic made Cassie clear its path to escape, but couldn’t, so it drops the elevator to stop Gregory and Cassie from trying to stop Mimic from escaping.
Finally, most of the message sounded chopped and static the whole time. Though some may say that the elevator transmission is old or it’s Gregory trying his best to communicate with Cassie, I believe that it was Mimic piecing together Gregory’s voice line to create a recording of Gregory betraying Cassie. This would make sense during the game; Gregory’s voice lines from SB were used to communicate with Cassie. For example, “There’s no time!” when Freddy insists that Gregory “feels that you are broken” then takes him to the First-Aid station and “How’s that supposed to help?” when Freddy tells him to do the pizza simulator to escape from Chica. So, the Mimic could’ve easily used these chop recordings to create this message to Cassie, including that Helpi could splice together an audio lure of Cassie’s voice during the intercom cameras.
Also, I believe that Mimic copied Gregory’s voice so that Cassie could lead Mimic to the elevator so it could escape AND kill Cassie at the same time. Think about this; the Mimic relied on Cassie to free them from its prison, and it used Gregory’s voice to lead her to run off all the security nodes and free it, so why can’t it do the same again? When Cassie was running from Mimic, when you reached the elevator, there was a conduit (I think that’s what it’s called) near the elevator that the player must charge before going in the elevator just when the Mimic tried to grab Cassie. It does look like the Mimic was following Cassie to attack her, but I think there’s more to it. Instead, I believe Mimic copied Gregory’s voice to lead Cassie towards the elevator to charge it up so the Mimic can escape. Since it led Cassie to help it to be free, it used Cassie again to escape its underground prison. It seemed too much of a coincidence that Cassie had the Faz-wrench to hack the security nodes and charge conduits throughout the game, and there seemingly was a conduit in the underground place where no one’s been down there for years, and a conduit appeared where Cassie needs to escape. The Mimic depended on Cassie to escape, so it used her to escape; it led her to the elevator to charge it up, and she was hoping to attack her before she used the elevator to escape.
Well, this was long. Kudos to anyone who reads this. I hope you like my theory. Also, remember: It's JUST A GAME THEORY!! Please comment below on what you think!

Regarding the theory that the Mimic cuts the real Gregory off: Another thing that could hint towards that is the fact that in that very moment 2 subtitles are on screen. The Freddie walkie talkie was in Gregory’s backpack. That’s how the mimic contacted Cassie. Gregory has been “trying to reach her all night” using a different walkie talkie and searching for the correct channel.
This implies Gregory has been to the pizzaplex recently. The backpack is pristine. And the Mimic likely didn’t have the walkie talkie for long, otherwise this would have happened much sooner. My guess is that Gregory accompanied Vanessa to the pizzaplex while installing the M. X. E. S. How the walkie got behind the concrete door, however, I’m not sure. It’s my one plot hole.

Yeah, the first playthrough I watched, I thought that was odd. The subtitles had been pretty consistent throughout the rest of the game, so it seemed strange to suddenly glitch in such a way. Especially since I can't recall any actual glitches in any of the playthroughs I watched. Then I noticed the exact same 'glitch' in a different channel's playthrough, and then in another. That tells me it wasn't a glitch, the subtitles were coded to render that way. Which tells me that the 'Gregory' who dropped Cassie isn't our Gregory. I wonder if we'll get a SB sequel in which Gregory (and Vanessa + Freddy) returns to the Pizzaplex to save Cassie (resulting in an eventual reunion/team-up) or if we'll get one focused on Cassie and Roxy escaping the Pizzaplex, reinstalling the MXES network as they go.

Something interesting to note--the Scooper ending costume that the Mimic wears is that of a lion, with parts from the elephant suit on the right of the room and the penguin-like-bird-thing on the left. There's never a lion costume in the room...Right?
Well, sort of; the lion costume never appears in game in its original state, but a model of it exists in the files. For whatever reason it just doesn't appear in the room with the other ancient mascot costumes, but an individual lion costume *does exist.*
The implications of putting a lone endoskeleton into a room full of different costumes seems to be that the endoskeleton, whatever it might have been, was meant to be able to wear any one of those multiple suits--possibly meaning that this animatronic was meant to be able to *learn several different character routines at once,* and *swap between them on its own.*
I think this implies fairly strongly that the Mimic actually was originally built as its own thing, and not a later AI entity. Whatever manner of corruption has seeped into the Pizzaplex has simply gotten its hands on the Mimic animatronic, and is utilizing the capabilities it was built with for its own purposes.
Remember--even though the book continuity isn't 1:1 with the games--the Mimic was originally built as an endoskeleton, not just a bit of software.

    • @gitmoyt
      @gitmoyt Před 9 měsíci +13

The endos are just empty shells until they are programmed Just like in real life, hardware is nothing without software. I know this is a series with spirits and the supernatural, but i think this aspect is meant to be grounded in reality. The mimic's endo may be advanced, but it's still just an empty shell without some type of program to run it. The mechanical aspects might record and play sounds, but it takes programming in order to select or edit the sound it's playing. The shell may have been designed to fit into multiple suits, but it would take software in order to take on multiple roles. It's impossible for the parts of a machine to learn, but a program is perfectly capable.

@@gitmoyt Too bad for you, this is Five Nights at Freddy's. lol
My point is, the Mimic must have been an original creation at some point--someone built it and programmed it to Mimic different show routines for different characters.
Glitchtrap or whoever the virus infecting the Pizzaplex is must have found out about the Mimic and decided to try and infect it to use its copycat ability to lure someone down there and free it.
How it knew about Cassie and how to contact her is kind of up in the air, but the books provide some clues.
In the book continuity, the Mimic was created by a Fazbear Entertainment technician, which seems to align with Cassie's dad being a technician--as frequently referenced throughout Ruin.
There's no evidence her dad built the Mimic yet, but the continuities are very similar in many cases.
Maybe if it was built by her father, it might have seen her at some point? Maybe Glitchtrap was pulling from the only memories the machine had?

    2. The good vanny ending doesn't explain how the pizzaplex got collapsed/burnt/ruined.
    3. The headless freddy in the fazer blast area in ruin is only the prototype of freddy, it's on the left foot where it's says "prototype" on it.

Considering that sinkhole was always going to happen, the PQ ending is still quite valid, glitchtrap still has the pizza plex and freddys corpse is mostly still there, freddy may have always been a prototype and the withering may have revealed said decal, the prototypedecal is most likely something just there to allow the other endings where freddy is destroyed in other endings to be somewhat valid or just throw the players off. The mimic seems to be a bulkier endo 01, maybe a prototype from the museum, seeing as this mimic is probably not the one from the books as the one in the books seems to be atleast somewhat of a mix of the funtime and OG endos whilst the ruin one is a fully solid endo.
(Edit) Pizzaplex got wrecked by an earthquake? Guess it explains the damage on everywhere other than the raceway, but then how the hell would the animatronics not be repaired e.g monty gets his legs back. Massive coincidence if an earthquake took place like the day after the main game.
Also interesting that the comics act as like a process of information for the true(ish) ending for SB as its kindda blatant by the second act that Princess quest is the right route... also there's no way Vanessa had the time or money to develop mxes, that things developed by faxbear alone and is probably atleast influenced by the glitchtrap virus, or its glitchtrap in the mimic and mxes putting on a show to keep cassie from catching onto its deception by adding a threat that's not just the heavily damaged animatronics.

I think the mimic led her to the elevator and pretended in a double way that it was gregory, leading her to die for the mimic to feed on her data and lead more children to die.

It's not impossible to know for sure if it's Gregory or not, because you only need to look at the odd vocal inflections of the Mimic's version of Gregory from earlier instances.
Mimic-Gregory has several instances where its voice uses the wrong inflection on words. I remember one specific instance towards the mid-to-late section of the game, before getting to the bottom floor, where the very last word Gregory says sounds artificial and fake because it doesn't match the tone of the rest of the sentence. I noted it very specifically and though I could already tell the twist from the moment I heard that "Gregory" was "trapped" at the beginning of the game (because why on Earth would he be there), it basically solidified my theory that something was pretending to be Gregory. For some reason I thought maybe it was the Blob trying to escape. Just made that connection because, honestly, it's already a horrifying amalgamation of animatronics and, probably, souls, so it wouldn't be totally unexpected if it tried to incorporate Gregory into its identity.
Of course I still expected it was probably Afton, because he never really dies in this series. Everything's just a setback for the bastard.
Oh and if it wasn't clear, I'm saying that it was almost certainly Gregory saying those last lines and leaving you for dead, because I sensed absolutely no vocal inflection anomalies. Gregory's just an ice-cold motherfucker.

I disagree with the entity controlling the animatronics. We know that they are more aggressive than they should be, but we also know that they have a conscience. Roxy starts roaming around after hearing Gregory(the real Gregory trying to contact Cassie, as heard in an Easter with a Staff bot who doesn’t always say the same line). She doesn’t have eyes, so when she jumpscares us, she thinks she got Gregory. When Cassie screams, she realises her mistake. Roxy isn’t bad to everyone, she is friendly and let’s not forget that Cassie is everything that Roxy likes : a winner, she doesn’t give up, she likes makeover and Roxy is her favorite. While Gregory ran over her and took her eyes. Which is why she screams « Give me back my eyes! » She thinks she got Gregory, the one who took her eyes. Also, Helpi has two different sprites, depending on the sprite, the real Helpi is talking, but when he has orange eyes and purple « veins » , it is the Mimic talking and when Helpi is happy that we deactivated the final node, it is the Mimic. He realised that Roxy was our friend, so he made us believe that Roxy was the final node, but why and how would Gregory and Vanessa make Roxy a security node? Anyway, I really like your « ….. If the normal ending is to be cannon and true, then it would set-up a future game with Cassie and Roxy teaming-up similar to Freddy and Gregory

He was at the party, but they weren't friends before that
Gregory was living in the pizza Plex, noticed Cassie by her lonesome in a party setting, and pulled a good Samaritan by spending her birthday with her.

My personal theory is that the illusion disks, used to manipulate the Crying Child in FNAF 4, might be at play. Cassie literally experienced reality bending around her, real life objects being dupes, fakes, despite her interacting with them, and then disappearing once she puts on an AR mask. The only way I think this would work is if the world around her was atleast influenced in some way by these disks, which are known to have an effect on the world around the victim (Crying Child dying from fake animatronics, and interacting with the world around them, despite it not being real).
The inhibitors could be a device that simply combats these disks, possibly intercepting the radio waves transmitted by this device, or if it truly does rely on just sound alone (and since sound is just vibrations moving really fast), maybe it too transmits a sound at an opposite frequency (or as close as possible) to try and stop the effects of the disk, that would explain how objects in the “real world” don’t exist.
An issue with my theory though, AR can kill you in the real world but not in the real world, which would contradict the idea that the real world is being influenced but not the AR world.
God dammit, why is FNAF lore so complex?!

It's not likely there's another ending unless they add one. People have datamined the DLC and found a code thing that shows the names of the endings, and reveals 3 proper names and a "None" tag at the end. I believe that this final tag is a way to end the code that contains the endings in a way that prevents the game from crashing if it tries to activate an ending that doesn't exist.

technically you can turn around at the very beginning and jump up and out the way you came ending the game immediately. That might be that ending as it's nothing done. The mimic isn't freed, none of the characters are released from control and cassies fate isn't ambiguous

I think something that adds to Ruin is Afton isn't the main villain, it's nice to give someone else a chance to shine and not have Afton just show up and take over like in Security Breach. Hopefully we can get more games like the DLC.

Your explanation of the normal ending makes so much more sense than just Gregory trying to kill Cassie, and I didn't even realize you could hear Roxy after the credits.
The only thing that really confuses me is, why do both Security Breach and Ruin both have secret endings that require a lot of effort to get, just to be fake endings? The only other FNAF game I can think of there being an alternate ending that isn't canon would be Sister Location, but that was more like a secret ending like the hallucination ending in Ruin instead of an actual alternative. I wish more context was given to the scooper ending, because I don't understand why you'd go through all that effort just to get the wrong ending. It's confusing

I find it funny how the mimic says to the speaker "To save me" when Gregory made himself clear she was never supposed to be at the Pizzaplex and therefore didn't need to be saved in the first place.

I appreciate that Ruin's story is more explicit than previous entries in the series. I'm all for theorizing and speculating, but there comes a time when you have to actually tell your story. While Ruin's narrative isn't anything new or particularly engaging, at least you can follow it without having to rely on a ton of external information, which I think is a step in the right direction.

I have not heard the theory of the mimic being the one who dropped the elevator but it does make sense. Gregory goes from telling her about the security program but then goes from that to telling her what he has to do. Plus it wouldn’t make sense for Gregory or Venessa to let a little kid die much less a friend of Gregory because they are shown to be sympathetic especially if this is set in the post save venessa ending

after seeing how the dlc ended it felt like a crappy quick dlc but your video of the story and theories just made it an essential part of the fnaf story! i loved this and cant wait for another game/dlc that will come, and as hear in the deafult end how roxy said "Cassie?" in the end sounds like cassie survived and the story of her will keep on going. now Roxy is definetly my favourite animatronic like she already was in the normal game.
