The best part is hearing the band just throw it together so quick.
They do pre-interviews at these late-night shows, and they had the photo of the flamenco dancers ready, so I'm sure they told the band to be ready for music for Spanish or Latin dancing.
I'm pretty sure they know how to play generic salsa music. I mean they are a band at a talkshow/variety show. It's a must.

She’s wonderful. She shows a lot of signs associated with social anxiety but she owns the room at the same time. She doesn’t shrink from the situation for a moment. It’s really endearing and compelling.

You know, I've thought about this numerous times and this is what I've come up with. It's hard because we don't know her personally, but to me it seems like she just does this for fun on-camera as kind of her schtick more than anything but she probably does draw inspiration for alot of it from her actual personality she just amplifies it in front of the camera because it's always paid off for her.

If I had to guess I would think that Stephen has been totally faithful during his marriage... you know, in a way he might be like Paul McCartney (on a much smaller-scale). I've read that Colbert did VERY well for himself with the ladies when he was single (like Paul, again, on a smaller scale, because The Beatles in their singles days were sleeping with more women than you can count) - even before he was famous, just doing improv out in Chicago, he dated a lot - so perhaps he sowed his wild oats, and is able to keep his libido in check as a happily married man. (And I'm sure fidelity is important morally to Stephen.)

She's played the role a few times, mainly opposite Dr Reid, Matthew Gray Gubler and they are some of the best scenes and episodes in the more recent seasons

I like how the general public doesn't understand that there are rehearsals, even for live shows, and that segments like this have been pre arranged. But hey, ignorance is bliss and you were entertained, good for you!
Oh yeah, I forgot! But in this specific case, I think it wasn't rehearsed. You can tell by the way the other musicians are joining in, trying to identify the key and the rhythm.
It was rehearsed, the soprano saxophone player is even holding a percussion instrument before Jon starts. They're not trying to identify the key either since the only melodic instruments are the piano and the bass guitar. I understand that some people like the idea that musicians randomly get on stage and randomly start "picking songs", and that happens in amateur festivals, but most professionals want the security of knowing what to do and when. My 20 years of performing professionally have taught me that it's not worth winging it when you're being recorded or when there's a paying audience in front of you.

The salsa thing didn’t least more than 20 seconds, yet it was awesome
Legion is a fantastic show. So narratively and visually creative. And Aubrey Plaza has to pull off so much in her role. In the course of the first season, her character pulls a range of really strong emotions from the audience -- starting with feelings of sympathy, amusement, and affection, and transitioning to fear, anger, and repulsion. It was a fantastic performance.
I love this woman more than I love myself.

This is the best moment I've seen on TV this year. I thought she was good in Safety Not Guaranteed but I didn't realize she was this cool and loose. This got Mr Colbert to the funniest and sharpest, in the moment, I've seen him. Classic TV from all concerned.
