Ive been trying to remember the name of this vid and I finaly found it!!! Love this one... I'm a Toyota guy through and through but MAN this Rangie can GET IT aye. So awesome to see it clawing it's way though this muck. This stuff makes some of our PNW mud-holes look like puddles it's so deep and gooey.
I'd never seen a 2-Door in real life until the other day and it was a VERY nicely cared for old one... I think they're such awesome looking trucks and they have that CLASSIC old -school interior. I love my Toyotas (they're better trucks all around, sorry but they're just way more durable and just as capable when built right, I have a 300,000 mile 1st gen 89 Toyota Hilux Surf and I wouldn't hesitate to run this stuff in it), but I'd drive one of those Early (1st/2nd gen) 2dr. Rangies for SURE.
as impressive as this team and car are, only one thing stands out in my mind over the years of 4x4 competition in malaysia - the hillclimb stage by the isuzu pickup truck of zainal abidin and kok tsin yee back in 94/95. everyone else DNF'ed because the winches were too slow. zainal's however, bombed up the hill without winching, in a diesel truck running on 3 cylinders (one cylinder blocks wasn't functioning having sucked up river water during one of the transport stages)
@HotHeadCJ I meant it can do it, personally I would rather a Defender, I`d take a Defender over any vehicle anytime, second to it a Discovery Series I or II, not a fan of LR3 or new LR4
@HotHeadCJ dont know where you live, but where I live Cruisers are yes legendary vehicles but cant do what Defenders do, Fenders wont rust as much, have a stronger chassis, are lighter and fuel consumption is lower, stock Defender does better than a stock Cruiser give a Fender good service and it will keep going, Im on my third Defender and Id take ir over ANY car you name it. probably you`re a Cruiser man respect you but I`ll stick to the british, and everyone knows Defenders are more legendary
@HotHeadCJ It might sound crazy, but it can. Its just I doubt owners will take such an expensive car and scratch it, rich saudi people do it actuaclly, but they dont fix them just buy new ones
Looks like ET and Vicky have setup a great contest yet again!!! Great work LROM !!!
I know that Range Rovers are offroad beasts, but this one is just unbelievable!!!
Geez that Rangie sounds great. Love it!!!

@Ramon25D
Yeah the defender is also pretty good and also the g wagon
@Ramon25D
yeah and why is that..... The Land cruiser is legendary and can do everything the defender can.
If this doesn't sell landies I don't know what will. ( also dad drives like he is this landie)

Thats probably an early 3.5 from the 70s.
yep she will have arb air locking diffs mate...theres a sponser sticker set on her for arb.

@lagranpichota In some countries they use the word jeep for a 4x4. Doesn't matter which type, if you use 'jeep', everybody knows you mean a 4x4.
@Ramon25D
Well I know they wont rust(fiberglass models) but I will stick to Toyota, btw I live Jamaica
@HotHeadCJ Defenders are the best mate
i have that on DVD (burnt from video:D)
yea i know what u mean they ownd everyone!

Rangie style.
Can the new range rover do that lol
at 1:20 he says its a 4.7 litre.. my guess a leyland p76 v8 engine 4.4 stroked..
Not bad.
@Ramon25D
Thats some serious shit man I would rather a cruiser 200 than the problematic new rr everytime
4.7 or 4.6 litres ? he said 4.7 but he might be wrong, i dont know any V8 engine with 4.7 litres, just 4.6 like thoose one´s form RR P38.
This range is a 3.5 or a 3.9 efi?!
