yeah it happened to me with an iphone 6 plus that I upgraded to 128gb and after trying to install the ios 11 I got error code 3803, so, I had to install ios 10.3.3 from 3utools.... I think it's because the nand programmer I have.

32gb iPhone 7PLUS is so cheap, so we can upgrade to 256, and never consider iPhone 8PLUS 256gb, as they are the same.
Yeah, that's probably why if this were to catch on (on a global scale), Apple would very likely lay the hammer down very quickly on these companies. Still, I love the ideal up upgrading the storage without have to shell out a grand for an upgrade.

REWA Technology I replaced with refurbished logic board. Its an iPhone 6 board with serial number for 6 Plus, so NAND is from an 6 Plus

Yes programming is necessary because you have to write the original data from the nand to the new nand. Otherwise it will not support. I heard somewhere that the nand also has motherboard data programmed in it

Actually i bought same quality before from the same seller, it was good and there is no problem. Haha i think im not lucky guy :) i’ll try to find good quality.
