The prologue, Dust to Dust, takes place at the Queen's funeral. The 'I' in the lyrics is her ghost beckoning the passers-by to step closer and hear her story. Thanks for reacting to the entire album. It was a pleasure listening to your insights on the music of these remarkable young artists.

I think also why they might appear older on stage is because they really are a mature band for how old they ACTUALLY are, so I think that's throws off our senses to a degree. When you see them at home, they are the sweetest, funniest and goofiest young ladies I've ever seen, so they seem more their age, but when they step on that stage, they are no longer DPA, they are The Warning, and they have one mission: Rock the audience's face off, which they take very seriously and are deadly efficient at. Great reaction Mike, can't wait for the next!

If you watched Vlog #26 (chapter 4). The girls would explain the last 3 songs.
If anyone hasn't watched *QotMS Vlogs.* They are very worth a watch.
    Vlog #23 is for chapters 1 & 2.
Vlog #25 is for chapter 3.
Vlog #26 is for chapter 4.

The End (Stars Always Seem To Fade)
The Queen lies dying in The End and these are her last thoughts. She regrets nothing because she still feels that she did it all for love (Sinister Smiles ends with the evil side repeatedly screaming “I have done no wrong”). Interestingly, Paulina sings both the first and this last song, making a cycle where Dust To Dust includes the line “In the end everything just turns back into dust to dust”. The final lines of The End are “start again” and Dust To Dust says “and we shall start again”. They actually didn’t plan it that way from the beginning but liked the way it worked out.

Please check out Paulina's song (black holes), What's unbelievable is she wrote it when she was 13 years old.
If you've lived long enough you've either experienced it yourself or seen someone close to you that has this problem that she sings about.
Guaranteed to bring tears to your eyes, It is so deep that it's hard to believe a young one could come up with the lyrics❤❤❤

For me this is the auspicious and dignified ending for a rock opera which is what this masterpiece called "Queen Of The Murder Scene" should become.
Or better yet, it should be the soundtrack of a feature film, a thriller with great impact due to its music.
"The End", an epic anthem that at this point is no longer surprising knowing the talent of its creators.
Thank you for sharing your reactions to this work of musical art by our favorite band.

I think for your next dive into the Warning it would be nice if you would go back not quite two years earlyer and check out their TED Talks at The University of Nevada in 2017. They play three songs fron XXIst Century Blood, their first album. Ale just turned 12 and Dany and Pau are less than a month from their 17th and 15th birthdays respectively. The last song, Survive is one of the best songs they ever wrote and they still perform it at most of their shows.

Mike, a suggestion for you. I along with a few others, over the past 2+ years, have asked music reaction channels to always post a link to the original video in the description AND encourage viewers to watch, like and comment on it. Each artist brings so much joy to so many. Most viewers have no idea how to best support their favorite artist or your channel. Education is the key. We hear subscribe, like and comment but how does that benefit the viewer? Of course you know and I do but many do not. Watching your reaction videos benefits your channel and thankfully hundreds of reaction channels now implement our suggestion to educate viewers how to support the artist. We hope once the vast majority of reaction channels are supporting the artist and boosting their analytics, then some copyright holders would be more likely to support the reaction channels. We know for sure, with no artist support, copyright claims will not be eased.

That’s one thing about The Warning. They play high quality instruments.
A craftsman is nothing without the proper tools.
Ale playing Spector basses is a neat story as I’ve come to understand it and it’s really not my story to tell but it does show the unique bond that TW and their fanbase have.

I love The End(Stars…). Dany has stated that David Gilmour is a BIG influence of hers, and we clearly see that in her solo (it’s so good, but wish it was a little longer!). Imagine 3 teenagers writing this Epic story! It starts at the end (the Queen’s funeral) and,at the end of the album, goes back to the beginning (Start again…). Notice how Pau sings those two songs and Dany wails at the end of each!
You mentioned that you want to listen to them in the car…just wait! You will pick up little nuances that you didn’t catch in the videos--especially once you get to the ERROR album--bass slides, bass harmonics, etc that are hard to hear in the videos!
This has been a fantastic review of QOTMS! Looking forward to watching more of your reviews (and not just The Warning!)

This is the dying declaration of the Queen. She regrets nothing. She committed suicide (or the Grim Reaper took her) at the end of Hunter. Ale’s bass is a custom Spector partly designed by Ale. It has the band’s logo on the neck and her signature on the back of the neck. The finish is known as Ale’s inferno and she designed it herself. The bass was presented to her in September 2020 when TW was in NJ recording the Error Album. The guys from Spector came from their custon shop in Woodstock NY to present it to her. There is a video. Spector sells other basses with the same finish.

Thanks for such a thoughtful analysis of this whole epic work and The Warning's performance at Lunario. I've enjoyed every one of your videos, although I liked Hunter better than you did! QOTMS is one of those albums I believe will stand the test of time and I have to say, as much as I hate to, especially given their ages when they put this together. How much their musical skills have grown since is strikingly evident in their performances of the select songs they performed from this album at Teatro Metropólitan in August of 2022.

Dust to Dust ties into the ending of this song, so since there is a funeral at the beginning of the album, it seems clear she dies. The tie in, BTW, was not intended. They realized the songs bookcases the story after they had composed them.

What's left entirely unresolved -- at least by them -- is the battle between the Queen's two (three?) sides. I have my own rather enigmatic opinion on the matter: I believe that the good side wins a Pyrrhic victory over the evil -- but only by embracing evil itself, which she still denies. But not the evil side per se. In D&D terms, the good side has become lawful evil, rather than the chaotic evil of the evil side. Why? It's all musical clues.
    * Pau sings, not Dany.
    * The increasing dissonance and chaos of the previous songs has vanished. This song is calm, peaceful, melodic, and largely consonant.
    * The modulation up into the bridge (what sounds like a whole step) is a hopeful-sounding one, building into the most beautiful of Dany's guitar solos, which again, sounds hopeful more than hopeless. Even the closing cadence (whatever that particular cadence is called) sounds more affirming than destructive.
