Microworld Class 2 - Wound Exudate Module

Exudate is produced as a normal part of wound healing. However, in excess volume or with chronicity, it can become a harming rather than healing agent. Exudate must be assessed and managed effectively to promote wound healing and alleviate symptoms.
Developing a greater understanding of what exudate is and its role in wound healing, as well as reasons for excess exudate and how chronic wound exudate can cause delayed healing and skin damage will lead to a more accurate, holistic wound assessment and management.
