Here's the V2 RGT Adventurer. Land Rover Defender 110 1/24 Scale Micro RC Crawler. This is not the same as the FTX Outback Mini 2.0, it's more like an FTX Outback Mini 3.0 ;)
    Buy it here:
    www.banggood.com/RGT-136240-V...
So this has a few changes from the V1 RGT, most notably the front mounted Motor with transfer case, this alone makes this better than an FTX Outback Mini, 2.0, ECX Barrage and Hobby Plus CR-24. This has to now be the Best Cheap Micro Crawlers. Not worlds best, that belongs to the Axial SCX24 from what I've seen! How about this RGT Vs Axial?
Much more control, slower crawling speed and looks really nice! I expect people will still want to upgrade and modify the little RGT Adventurer, but out the box this is so much better than before!

While the update is awesome, id say is was more to be competitive with HobbyPlus as far as customer support. RGT hasn't responded to customer feedback at all IMO, even the first gen is just a shared unoriginal design.
HobbyPlus has done far more when it comes to customer feedback. Making changes in current versions, upgrade versions, and the single only micro truck manufacturer to have first party HobbyPlus branded upgrades instead of waiting for the aftermarket to catch up

I think my views of this must count for most of them on this video because I keep coming back to watch it! I'm very tempted to get one of these. I've just got the Hobby Plus CR-24 G-Armor in yellow which I love. Especially the pre installed led's in the actual body. But I must admit as well as the transfer gearbox and the front mounted motor, it's the gorgeous Red colour of the body on this one that really floats my boat. This could be my first RC purchase of 2020.

      haha...keep watching...
The CR-24 is a decent little crawler. I've tested it against this already, and to be honest, there is not much in it. I have a stronger servo in mine as the stock one is a bit pants. The only advantage I could see was better traction on the front wheels of the RGT, but nothing a little weight added to the front of the CR-24 won't fix ;)

Thanks for the vids Tomley. I've been watching quite a few in the past month. I'm trying to get a small indoor/back-yard crawler to FPV with. I fly whoops on weekends and race FPV micro cars mid-week. We want to get crawlers and set up some tracks to race. Most important thing is the smoothness and low speed control for the tracks we want to use.
How does this 1/24 RGT Adventurer V2 compare to an Axial SCX24 2019 Jeep? or the "URUAV 1/24 2.4G 4WD Mini Rc Car Proportional Control Waterproof Crawler " over at banggood?
Thanks again and happy new year!

Hi mate. I've not got a SCX24, but they look good. higher price tag and 'should' be better. But the V2 RGT and the CR24 are both very close. The RGT V2 has a better slow crawling speed in my opinion. And if I were to choose out of the 2, I would chose the V2. But I think the CR24 body would be better to keep the CoG down.

I wouldn't say the best, by no means. I had a recent run in with this little rig. Fun to mess around with, and for 100ish bucks. I would say it's hard to beat. I do like the fact this is a forward mounted motor setup with divorced transfer case. Not that different than a true to life 4x4. I would say it has some weak areas when modding it. If you tie it to the ground, bigger tire, wheel weights, solder in the wheels and run a 2s battery. Good luck finding a drive shaft that will stay in it. With a 1s battery with added weight, I havent seen it actually break anything. So more power more breakages. I have the enduro 24, essentially the same as this. I absolutely love it, and not trashing on the adventurer or the enduro, but there are some obvious upgrades that are needed for these setups that would make them worth more in my eyes. Again, for a hobby grade running around the 100 dollar range. Truly is hard to beat.

Marco, I'm hoping to get a video of them side by side soon. But I think the V2 is better, but with better body that has a lower CofG. I tried the CR-24 Body on it, and it was very good. But the CR24 is also good, however, the steering needs upgrading as it is lacking in power. You can get an upgrade kit for the CR24, that makes it better than the RGT V2...but it's an extra $25-$30 dollars
