Very cool review Kev I've been hooked on these little mini crawlers for quite a while. I'm in love with a wpl trucks just because they're so scale in there so many options parts for them. You can check out the new c 34 km . It comes with a ton of metal upgrades with itand they just came out with a new winch and transmitter system with sound unit that controls everything from the radio.

Have you had the ftx outback mini texan mate. I am looking into getting one and wondering if the esc it comes with has a spare port to plug additional lights as i would be getting leds for the roll cage lights

Hi, anyone know if the diff on these is already likely to contain grease, if not how important is it to add greese on such a small model, popping the cover of the diff is not easy as the screws are facing inwards so not easy to get at without dropping axel.
Kev, I have a Basher RockSta 1/24 crawler I think its a Hobbyking product but maybe Im wrong, but this is might be a great contender to the Devastator. Pricing is very good (£73) and with the metal gear upgrade its very durable nicely low geared as well, and the best benefit it has to me was the top of the roll cage (if you remove the metal hood) the size of hole exactly the size of a 9g servo which gives my FPV camera a platform to sit and turn left or right so the camera view turns when the front steering does (the 9g servo wired into the front steering servo signal). If you want I can send you some pics. Awesome machine very reliable the mini cameras usually have very wide angle so all obstacle is visible and one 500mAh lipo lasts a good 30mins (with FPV). I've built it so I can tell my 8 y old daughter where I want her to tidy more in her room.

I mounted my spare tire on the hood, this scrunched the front suspension but made it possible it climb much steeper angles. its a simple mod, just pop a tiny bit through the hood (use the spare tire as a reference) and you got a better crawler!

I think that rgt would be better with a different body lowing it’s center of gravity the motor in the front makes it better with having a better weight balance

I got a challenge for Kevin, I've seen pictures and minimal CZcams videos of building a 6x6 scx24? I'm in the middle of building a micro mud truck out of my scx24 deadbolt and so far the challenge has been the hardware on the scx24's are so tiny that if you are trying to drill new holes on the frame for mounting/modifying to fit right. Also I dont know where you could get variety packs of hardware that small so I've been drilling the smallest holes possible for the skinniest screws I can find. 2nd slight problem which is more of my stubborn pursuit of making the build almost exactly as I vision it is 24th scale tractor tires and wheels that could mount to a micro crawler. Any advice or ideas will help!
