Not an interpretation of a character of a new vs an old… if the scripture is already written by the author of the movie, and the scenes are already played; we owe to read it and not interpret it as it pleases us but remain in the context. That's not true. The whole point of the message is about the Spiritual Man. It was not about the bloodline. Jacob's is the Bloodline that is blessed, because it produced Yeshua /Jesus. After Christ died on the Cross. It all became about the faith of his work on the Cross and that is now what makes you a son of the Most High. It's also why Abraham's seed can't be numbered. Esau and Jacob were fraternal twins. Esau sold his birthright to Jacob so why did Rebecca and Jacob trick Isaac into giving Jacob his blessing?
Rebecca knew what The Most High had prophesied. And so made sure Jacob got the blessing. The older will serve the younger. This will eventually happen when Yahshua will reign here on Earth, all Edomites will serve the house of Judah and the rest of the tribes of Israelites. From what I’ve read, not Jacob’s blessing, but if they live a righteous life, keep the commandments, laws and statutes; bless the children of TMH, cleave to them etc. They get some kind of a blessing, but not the same as Jacob. You have to be bloodline.

I really enjoyed and learned a lot from this bible study. The metaphorical analogy of Esau and Jacob to the flesh and spirit fit perfectly and is shown all through the New Testament. Walking in the flesh=death, spirit=life. Flesh cannot please God, without faith its impossible to please Him and so on. The only objection I have is the actual hating of the person of Esau because if you continue to read Romans 12:32 it says God has SHUT UP EVERYONE UNDER DISOBEDIENCE SO THAT HE MAY BE MERCIFUL TO ALL. Then Paul goes on to praise Him for this wisdom and love that some can't seem to comprehend. This is the same goodness of God that Jesus spoke of that paid the workers who worked 2hrs the same as the ones who worked all day. Matthew 20. They didn't think it was fair, but they agreed to their payment. Some people dont think its fair that people who are not totally in the spirit get blessed quicker than those who think they're walking in the spirit. But God rains upon the just and unjust. Not saying walking in the flesh doesnt have earthly consequences, I believe that's why God hates it. But He loves the person so He'll discipline and be kind to them to lead them to repentance. And if that doesnt work they'll still go to heaven, just maybe quicker than expected. Very good message today though.
These thoughts are mainly for the believer in Christ. People outside of Christ still have an opportunity to join the family. I'm not excluding anyone by saying God hates them cause if He saved me, He can save anyone.
A lot of ways I was Esau, even as a born-again believer. Flesh driven. I was like the prostitute who came to Jesus while He was with the pharisees. But GOD, while I was dead in my trespasses, loved me and forgave me. Now, since I'm forgiven much, I love much. And when I'm back in the flesh, God doesn't hate me. He reminds me that I'm His Beloved. And that love puts me back in the spirit. Not fear of being hated.
