Absolutely! The whole sound design of the game is incredible.

On my first dive into this game I was terrified of hordes and my strategy was RUN! if I ever encountered them. I did all the infestation areas but I still ended up short of level three with all three camps before heading south. Killing hordes makes a world of difference.
