Congrats with the 702K subscribers Isaac👏🏽👏🏽. Really happy for you! My thoughts on Mei's dream, is that it's, yes in the movie, terrifying😱! But, thank you for the facts behind the dream. It's really helpful.

@@IsaacCarlson hmm🤔.. GOT IT☝🏽💡. What are you Top 10 favorite Disney movies of all time?
      Mine are:
      1. Raya and the last dragon
      2. The Hunckback of Notre Dame
      3. Luca
      4. The Little mermaid 2
      5. Maleficent (2014)
      6. Coco
      7. Turning Red
      8. The Lion King
      9. Moana
      10. Treasure planet
Went a little back and forth on these, to be honest😅. Almost all of the Disney movies I've seen are so good👍🏽😍. I'll admit, some of these got picked because of their songs. Others for the animation style. And others for both. Each of these 10 movies have a special place in my heart, and now I'm curious about which movies you like. It doesn't have to the same as mine, we all have different taste. So I can promise you, here and now, I won't judge your pick of movies. I care for you too much to hate you😘😘

Eh mature themes have been present in Disney movie before and this is no different. Fantasia with Cheribog, Mufasa being Murdered, The Trip scene in Alice in Wonderland(animated), Frollo in front of the fire place. Mickey's nightmare when he thought he was almost cut into in two in the old black and white shorts.
It's symbolism and how it tells the story and how one understand it is what's important.

To me. This is the most accurate representation on what a nightmare is. Its constant disturbing nonsensical things appearing right infront of you with no reason. It just happens. Mei's dream was freaking terrifying. I'm glad they didn't do a classic nightmare where a character would have a nightmare and something bad happens to them and they wake up and the message from the dream is clear. Thats not a accurate representation of a nightmare. This is. Nothing making sense, Disturbing visuals, generally unnerving, being unable to move and the message from the dream being so vague. That is what a nightmare is. Also something about Devon being a fish. Is so disturbingly accurate. Of course him being a fish unable to breath and flopping around is terrifying on its own. But I don't know something about that scene just gave me more chills then just that. It felt like if I saw something similar in my own dream. Which I think I have. I remember I was stuck on the ground and some headless mannequin was hoping towards me. worst part I couldn't move and it was just getting closer. Or another one where some strange creature that was a hat with two legs coming out from the bottom and large nose. It was kinda small but it walks really fast and the way it walks with its feet was just disturbing. Of course this is just my perspective.

Before I knew others theorized this.. When I watched the movie I felt it was pretty clear that the Red Panda symbolizes not only menstruation, but puberty. Including and not limited to all the awkwardness that comes with it for a girl at 13. Those who loved it know.. Because truthfully in a way the Red Panda also is symbolizing the raw nature of feminine power. Which is not always this “delicate” flower like energy. But, can easily be just as powerful and have emotional levels to it. I felt it was pretty blunt and in your face throughout the movie.

I hadn't watched Turning Red until recently when it finally came to cinemas, though I had been planning to watch it at some point. This scene caught me off-guard during my first watch. I did randomly read somewhere that there was a nightmare sequence at some point in the film, though all I knew was that it ended with a jumpscare. As a result, the Surrealist Horror genuinely surprised and scared me (though Merman Devon flopping around did make me laugh, albeit unnervingly). Honestly, this scene might just be one of the scariest scenes I have seen in any animated movie!

Lowkey had to take pauses in between when watching this movie mainly bc my dad was in the living room and with all the weird spiritual aspects of the show and the amount of red lighting in it would come off to them as demonic, which in my household most likely was.

The red panda (Ailurus fulgens), also known as the lesser panda, is a small mammal native to the eastern Himalayas and southwestern China. It has dense reddish-brown fur with a black belly and legs, white-lined ears, a mostly white muzzle and a ringed tail. Its head-to-body length is 51-63.5 cm (20.1-25.0 in) with a 28-48.5 cm (11.0-19.1 in) tail, and it weighs between 3.2 and 15 kg (7.1 and 33.1 lb). It is well adapted to climbing due to its flexible joints and curved semi-retractile claws. The red panda was first formally described 198 years ago in 1825. The two currently recognised subspecies, the Himalayan and the Chinese red panda, genetically diverged about 250,000 years ago. The red panda's place on the evolutionary tree has been debated, but modern genetic evidence places it in close affinity with raccoons, weasels, and skunks. It is not closely related to the giant panda, which is a bear, though both possess elongated wrist bones or "false thumbs" used for grasping bamboo. The evolutionary lineage of the red panda (Ailuridae) stretches back around 25 to 18 million years ago, as indicated by extinct fossil relatives found in Eurasia and North America. The red panda inhabits coniferous forests as well as temperate broadleaf and mixed forests, favouring steep slopes with dense bamboo cover close to water sources. It is solitary and largely arboreal. It feeds mainly on bamboo shoots and leaves, but also on fruits and blossoms. Red pandas mate in early spring, with the females giving birth to litters of up to four cubs in summer. It is threatened by poaching as well as destruction and fragmentation of habitat due to deforestation. The species has been listed as Endangered on the IUCN Red List since 2015, which was 8 years ago. It is protected in all range countries. Community-based conservation programmes have been initiated in Nepal, Bhutan and northeastern India; in China, it benefits from nature conservation projects. Regional captive breeding programmes for the red panda have been established in zoos around the world. It is featured in animated movies, video games, comic books and as the namesake of companies and music bands.

You can think in two ways: location and culture. As immigrants, you can be proud of your traditions in motherland, but when you go to a new place you are seen as “devils” and questioned. Here, Mei’s family immigrated to Canada some time ago, as the powers became “inconvenient.” On top of it, some cultures see the male equivalent as “super” because “men are superior” and “women naturally are weak.”
Another way is that Females get periods, and have been “shamed” and it became “taboo subject” (as you can see online LOL). It depends where you are in the world, how women’s health is valued, and what reproductive health is allowed. I saw “allowed” because in USA the talk of “sex education” in schools is usually shot down by very specific groups that are very conservative on talking about the subject matter.
      Hope this helps 🌟

And states with more sex ED have higher rates of STDs. Texas at least has higher rate of STDs then Texas's and least.
They also have higher rates of sexual assault. .
