Good videos, thanks, My dad raced Superstox at Cross-in-hand in the early 70s. I remember the protest march...I also remember falling out of the car door when we were leaving one day, I would have only been about 3 or 4 but remember it like it was yesterday it shook me up so much...lol.
Wonderful footage of great days, when things were simpler but somehow more fun, i'm so glad you took this film and kept it for all of us old fans of Cross in Hand track to re-live 40 years later...thanks for that mate.
Not sure if he was racing here, but Derek Warwick, is now a F1 steward. Attended the Cross every other weekend, and Arlington, on the other. Good days.
Thanks Adrian, I do have another film of the last day at X in Hand but before I post Im hoping I can still recover a missing film or two from that meeting that may still be in a friends basement.!!! this includes the Protest March we went on, and other formula. Had a look at the World Hot Rod video from ITV and brought back memories. Went to several W HR Meetings at Ipswich. My Hero was No 19 Mick (Duffy) Collard who I was first impresed with when I saw him racing his Cortina Stock Car.
You probably know but Mick Collard junior races in BTCC and is probably as good as his dad ! :o) good to see Aubrey Foxy Dance in the video again in the stock cars .

Nice old cine film Alan, I remember it well, great piece of archive. I never did rate the four -car Autospeedway races but enjoyed the larger grids.
