    One correction or note I’d like to make. This isn’t exactly a hybrid turbo, it’s not exactly a full frame turbo. It’s a bit of a mash up of the two, integrating a manifold as it does on the hot side, is similar to what you would see in a true hybrid. Nonetheless, for the cost you are getting quite a lot for your buck! Thanks for watching.

    So I’m the guy with the white Supra on the website my car made 900hp/1008tq with this kit an now making 1000hp with it. No pure turbo is doing that. Also have been running this turbo for almost a yr and no problem also it is a full frame turbo and can be swapped out for a bigger remnant turbo that will be released in the future. Great job representing the product and being honest.

    Thanks @ThicWhips to you and the rest of the CES team for taking the time to properly install and do a review on the 65 OMEGA turbo kit for the Supra and the various Gen1/2 B58 Platforms. Truly honored to be featured here.
    A couple of comments:
    • This is simply another adaptation of our already existing OMEGA series turbos so it carries the same 1 year warranty on up to 45psi continuous operation that all of the OMEGA series turbos do. To mate it to the B58, we simply developed a new custom integrated turbine housing / exhaust manifold that could allow the stock EWG to be brought over and retained.
    • All Downpipes for the stock turbo fit however, due to the 1” longer runners on our custom 2 port and 6 port manifolds, you won’t be able to hook the bracket back up to the stock connection point by the side of the engine block which you had briefly mentioned in the video
    • As of 3/22/24, we currently have cars with over 23K miles on this turbo kit with no issues and numerous 6, 8, 10 and 15hr road trips. In addition, since this is a standard OMEGA series CHRA, we have customers on other platforms with over 50K miles and 4+ years on their turbos with no issues.

    This has got to be one of the best turbo info videos I've ever seen. That guy does a terrific job of articulating the information and seems very unbiased in his assessment. Videos like this for the G8x and various turbo options would be absolute bangers.

    I bought the Remnant Performance Turbo kit and installed it myself. So far, I'm loving it. It sounds amazing and their customer service is awesome. Fast response times with troubleshooting. Highly recommend.

    I have a Remnant kit. It's awesome! Definitely worth pairing with a fuel upgrade, but not needed. This is my second car with a Remnant Performance turbo and I love it.

    Cts turbo kit is the cheapest $2600. I've been running that for about 13k miles no major issues.

      @BabaYagaRacing I've heard the negative reviews before i purchased mine but they were the few imo. Faults in early production batches and improper install/break-in. There was a lot of fear mongering and not enough user data to give a solid review. Even the popular pure800 had its fair share of issues from time to time.
      I'll give the CTS turbo kit a 8 out of 10. Great bang for buck for anyone 600-800whp. Hardware wise some things could be improved. Would be nice to have install instructions for noobs too. CTS wasn't transparent online about the "break-in" procedure to not void warranty and I had to contact them directly about it. My stock turbo gave out at 20k miles which surprised me. So far the CTS turbo been going strong for 13k miles.

    Fantastic video! I wanted the Remnant kit but now I think I’ll await the 900 to drop and decide when you do your testing. Being that I have a few modifications already and there are some tuning upgrades coming down the pike at us I may be going you in NC when things have finally materialized.
    Question!
    Remnant has a huge downpipe and exhaust system for there kit. Do you have any intention to test a remnant kit with the downpipe and their exhaust included?

      I plan to install the exhaust on my car in the video. Remnant is currently redesigning the mid pipe on that exhaust and switching manufacturers so it’s currently off market at the moment.

    Another good video man. Anyone done a DAW ultra flow or R version on their A90? Curious to see how car responds to that turbo that I have compared to the Pure 800/850 with the proper fueling mode.

    The only only thing that I think should have DEFINITELY been retained was the wastegate actuator heat shield. I know it didn't fit, but That shit is plastic next to the hottest item on the engine. Modify the heat shield and spray it black. Done.

      We used heat wrap and a heat blanket. But yes, that was our only concern as well.

      That's because they used the same ODM that makes Garrett, and built a turn to their own spec. Garrett also does not make their own turbos.

      Additional fueling from pi especially higher e-content will not only produce more power but more protection for your engine due to the cooling benefits. Adding an csf manifold etc also does the same

      Folks like myself haven’t done PI because going that route will also likely need an intake manifold and a transmission build, it’s another $10k minimum.

      I feel you brother, i don't blame you. I did do pi w/cfs intake manifold and top mount 6466. We did manage to limit torque around 625. Im going to build trans though. Definitely an investment

      Nope. Stock DI. Ethanol tuning allows us to lift to 600whp or so

      Not planning to drop another $15k anytime soon. PI will probably cause the transmission to have some issues. If I want more, it’s likely going to require stage 2 trans, PI, and manifold.

      @@JulianVR4 That. Stage 2 trans (1000ft tq capabile) build from Pure is $10k alone without labor. Manifold is roughly $5k before labor, PI setup is about $1-1.5K without labor. The Supra is relatively cost effective to take up to the limits of the trans (roughly 600ft tq) and beyond that, the bills get substantially larger.

      You can do fueling and tuner can keep torque down to keep the car healthy and trans happy
