The first Barbie came out March 9th 1959. We couldn't afford the $3 price so I never had a Barbie. And those little baby dolls in the bunk beds you bought, in the early 60's I got an allowance of😊 $0.50 a month and would go to Benjamin Franklins five and dime and buy one baby doll. They came in a bed or a highchair or stroller and once even a swing.
I turned 5 about 4 months after that. I did have one when I was five. I never knew that they cost 3 dollars, though. I don't think I knew much of anything about money when I was five.
I opened up my checkbook one day and found a check I'd written when I'd had my hair cut and colored. The check was for something like $85. I had been talking to my stylist and completely forgot to rip the check out and hand it to her. I went back and she hadn't even noticed! I felt terrible, but made it right. It happens!

Barbie dolls first entered the American market on March 9, 1959. I had a number 1 Barbie and I also got the Ken doll when he first came out in 1961.
I really appreciate you kind banter and your honest conscience that beat up your heart. After we hit 30 we start to forget, after we hit 60 we forget that we forget, which challenges are mind and makes us feel old.
I did that at my barbershop awhile back. After a long conversation after my cut...I left. I was wondering why I had extra cash in my pocket when I went to buy food. That's when I realized I didn't pay for my haircut. I drove back to my barber and paid him and gave him extra along with a huge apology. He thanked me and thought I had paid. From that point on he always found time to squeeze me in for a haircut.

I have gone to the store and somebody has fallen between the baskets, and when I get to my car to unload, I find the item I go back and to their surprise I tell them this was not paid for. I would like to pay for it and they’re like you are the most honest person as long as you pay for the items that you Thought you paid for are you forgot to pay for you’re an honest person and people remember that you are a person of your word so for the people that want to give you nasty comments well you don’t throw rocks at a glass house!

Hey Kevin I really feel you should look more into the shoes as there can be a lot of money in them and at garage sales you can pick them up for very cheap. I myself paid just $4 for a pair of New Balance and the next day sold them for $80. After shipping, fees and COG I made about $55.

I did the exact same thing. I was purchasing some stuff from a retiring mechanic, we agreed to price for the lot without a tap and die set. I paid then we started talking. After 5 minutes, i loaded my stuff including the tap and die set, and drove off. I got a mile down the road when i realized my mistake. I went back and gave him the set back and an apolgy
I can't tell you how many times I've gone into the grocery store for 2 items, found the first one, not found the second, and then walked out without paying. Luckily I usually realize what I've done before I get out of the parking lot so I can go back and pay.

Oh Kevin I got a belly laugh on those acrylic ashtrays that were made with the kid stickers in them haha. Why you ask? Because, in my head, my quick first thought was..." I still have those light globe thingys in my grandparents old farm house, that I bought in 93. I’ve put fans in 2 of rooms, but the other 2 are still hanging with original metal light light fixture and hanging chains. The ones I’ve taken out, I boxed up and still have them. Didn’t realize they were worth that much. My house was built in 1948/49. I have most of the original lights still in place, but they are different styles and the ones I’ve replaced with fan lights, I still have boxed up. Too bad you pickers don’t travel North!

Something similar happened to me a couple of weeks ago. Lady was selling some retro video games and said she had more but needed to find them. We exchanged numbers and I paid her for the ones I had just found. About 15 minutes later she calls me saying I didn’t pay her.

I have never taken anything, but last fall, I lost $30 from a sale because A lady got 24 dollars of stuff from me and I never got the $30 from her, but I gave her the change from it so I lost the sale ($24) and the $6 change and that totaled $30. I realized it but she got the heck out of there and never came back...

I did the same thing only it was $4. The funny thing is I was also talking about selling this guy’s house (I am also a realtor) and we both didn’t notice If I paid. I left my number and about 20 minutes later he called and asked if I had paid and said he wanted me to list his house. So I went back, paid him the $4, then listed and sold his house in two weeks.

Redlines are very tricky. Seeminly minor flaws can have a big effect on value. To get top dollar, you need to make sure base is shiny, and the paint has minimal toning.

I once picked up a newspaper on my way into the supermarket, tucked it under my arm and I only re-discovered it over an hour and a half later when I was loading all my shopping into the car, newspaper still safely tucked under my arm and not paid for. How it had stayed there without me dropping it after all that time I've no idea but I ran back in to pay for it feeling like the biggest idiot!

I would of bought those Barbie Cases I have over 150-200 loose Barbie’s and several in Boxes that I collected for my daughter yet she didn’t want along with over a ton of Hallmark Ornaments. Looney tunes Big and minis Charlie Brown and his gang and Snoopy too😂😂. Scooby do🤩 wished they had come out with the lost in space crew-Grew up on that show never missed an episode in summer up at fathers in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan 😂
I don't think it has happened to me but I know it almost has. Sometimes you get to talking with the person, as happened here, and then you forget if you paid or not. I have had to ask the person if I had paid since I couldn't recall.
