Yeah Im having to do this for all my Facebook vids and thought may as well upload the better version here. A new vid will be coming soon that no one has seen this weekend!
Congrats on 12k. Love 💕 this chair. I would have never thought to do that with a slab cap. Great video too. Dude you kick ass at wood working. Keep up the great work.
@@HewAndAwe well this chair looks great. Hopefully it holds up. Have you ever tried Liberon finish ? I just ordered some and had it shipped to the states. Idk how well it would hold up. I’m still learning , and your a hell of a teacher man.
Ben I know exactly how you felt when trying to flush cut the plugs, I've done the exact same thing and thought ....bastard how the hell am I gonna do this? Same results buddy use the sander or lose the tip of your finger with the saw. The chair looks great outside the workshop, you just need a table to go with now yogi 🐻. As always buddy 💯% 👍.
Cheers Simon!!! This was an old vid that I had to re-edit for Facebook thought Id upload the better version here, they'll be a new vid this weekend. That chair has gone through two years outside in the uk at the 7:31 min mark is actual film recorded me having striped the old finish off to apply new and sell the chair. I get a lot of peeps asking about that chair... so may as well.
Very beautiful piece excellently done. I notice the back was against the wall… if not against the wall would the back be sturdy enough to support a manly man like you or me?
Have a better look bud, its not you can see the flex when I get off the chair. Its supported me for two years, done snow rain heat wave and covid. I won't lie though when I first sat on it I was shitting myself. this is an old vid re-edited for Facebook, thought I'd post the better versions here too. I brought it in to refinish and sell, still as good as day one believe it or not, at 7:30 mins thats actual l film from last week me having stopped the old finish off.
Yeah Im having to do this for all my Facebook vids and thought may as well upload the better version here. A unseen vid will be uploaded this weekend here unless I have some more bad news. Yeah its held up really well, my mum said you should take it in re-finish it and sell it, well I do get a lot of peeps passing by asking so I've done just that. looks like new now and has held up living outside for I think two years, snow, rain 40 degree heat etc etc the mitres haven't opened up which I thought they would. At the time stamp 7:31:00 is actually the chair stripped ready for new finish filmed last week. PU glue for the win for outdoors IMO!!!
Technology allows us to live. Art makes it worth living. Got both.

@@HewAndAwe good one Ben now the question is..did you get a good price for it or did the people who wanted it to be for f..all as usually the case.

Hi Ben, I know you made this a while ago and have it outside. How is it standing up to the weather?
