- Here we can see some footages of what could be seen on Sunday during the 2017 edition of Militracks, the biggest gathering of WW2 german military vehicles in the world. It takes place at the Overloon War Museum in the Netherlands.
Included in this video are : Sturmgeschütz III,Panzer II Luchs, Sd.Kfz 251, Sd.Kfz 250, Sd.Kfz 9 Famo, Sd.Kfz 10, Sd.Kfz 7, Sd.Kfz 6, Horch 108B, Horch Kfz 15, Kübelwagen, Schwimmwagen Typ 166, Schwimmwagen Typ 128, Zündapp KS750, Kettenkrad, Hanomag R40... - Auta a dopravní prostředky
I didn't realise how huge that halftrack truck was. It's bigger than most tanks.
soundslave I think it was a SdKfz 9 Heavy recovery vehicle...it towed tanks.
"To tow the tank, you must become the tank" kinda thing
No, it towed the german Flak. 8.8!
It towed artillery yes, but they were also used as recovery vehicles. Despite their size and power it still took three 18 tonne Sd.Kfz.9's to pull one tiger!
Wow cool.. 👍
That big half-track would solve all my problems of trying to get a parking-space in my local super-market at Christmas."Move or be crushed". Thankyou and have a nice day
andy d they are expensive though just find a five ton or a deuce in a half much cheaper and nearly the same size or possibly bigger depending on the variant but sadly no tracks but you do have 6X6 with 48in standard tires
Bloody hellfire, that first half track is gigantic!
True, we tend to lose the sense of scale of these vehicles since most of us know them primarily from vintage photos, scale models or 3D graphics.
Yea itts gigantic i was on it costs 5 euro to get a ride.
+MAR COR Also you don't see people using normal clothing what helps to see tue scale better.
Wessel200 5 euros, about $7.30 Aussie dollars, I would call that money well spent on a ride you will remember for a very long time with help of this video. I must admit to being just a touch jealous :))
XVX6katana6XVX it's FAMOZAUR! !
What a grand event to see! I've only seen these vehicles in books before today. How wonderful it must be to own or even see them in person! I cant begin to imagine the logistical nightmare it must have been to order, stock, maintain all the different parts for all the different vehicles in a panzer unit or even a motorized unit! Thank you for uploading this video.
13thBear; I couldn't agree more. I was wondering about the whole logistics problem myself during the video.
All of these vehicles are rare, but there are a few extra special ones this year.
2:49 Hanomag Diesel Road Tractor, 3:26 Sd.Kfz.7 Late production with wooden flatbed deck, 3:42 Schwerer Einheits PKW, 3:57 Volkswagen Typ 82E, 5:25 (tan 6 wheel truck) Steyr 640, 6:30 Sd.Kfz.10/4, 7:35 Opel Blitz 3,6-36 Kfz.305 - a room on wheels that had a version for basically any function you could ever want, 12:10 French Lorraine 37L artillery tractor, 4 roadwheel short version, 13:16 Opel Blitz 3,6-6700 A Tanker,
Hunter12396 thanks a lot.
ty for knowledge.
Merci de nous avoir éclairé 🙂👍
Уважение людям, так хорошо сохранившим историческую технику!
Да пошёл ты на Х...Й! вместе с такой историей
I did not realize how kinds there were! I thought I knew a good amount of WWII history, but have not seen many of these. How exciting, and like others have said, they still run!
Großartig, diese Fahrzeuge in ihrem Element zu sehen.Toll, das manch einer dort auch mal ordentlich am Kabel gezogen hat.Sind halt > Fahrzeuge < !
Such an awesome collection of German WWII equipment!!!!!!!
Vielen Dank aus Russland.
Besten Gruß aus Deutschland !!👍👍
There's just something so satisfying about the sound of old engines, axles and tracks creaking and squeaking, etc.
Except if you are the Russian soldiers in the trench
If you are them that is terrifying
But the sound indeed satisfying
Amazing pieces of history.I'm glad so many are still in good nick!
Das ist fantastisch!naturlich!!!!
Luv this. Thanks for posting.
This was one of the best videos i have ever seen on CZcams... Very satisfying!
😅
i want one of those half track bikes!
Gabriel Gonzalez Ikr, those are so cool!
+Gabriel Gonzalez, they are called "Kettanrads" (My spelling may be wrong here :-), and they are much sought after, as I understand. These days they do not come cheap!
Kettenrad
Gabriel Gonzalez mercs 2 panzercycle
they make a modern version
google snowmobile :P
Great to see these things out and about not just in a museum.
Mark O' Sparko they were made to be driving
Right, like people with Classic Cars, life's too short, if it can't be used, it's like.......... What's the point of having it? It's just A giant
paper weight that requires upkeep, and maintenance,
What A Waste, Illogical.
Love the Kettenkrad but the Schwimmwagon was the best! What is not to love about an Amphibious vehicle?
I'm in love with the schwimmwagen.
But this verhicle goes for a couple of hundreds of thousands of dollars😥
UDT's
Just being A Smart ass.
I love them too!
Excellent, thanks.
Thanks for posting this video, I really appreciated being able to see all the many various support vehicles used by German forces in WW II. I had no idea that they had so many different models of Half-track, and the range of sizes is staggering, not to mention the logistical nightmare of supplying spares for so many different vehicles. When you consider that the Allies basically used only two different brands of Half-track, White and International with similar basic bodies, but sharing many common parts and service items across them and many trucks and other vehicles, then the German problem becomes evident. Oh the headaches involved!
Yes; but they made their problems even bigger by using civilian as well as catched enemy vehicles. ("Ergänzungsfahrzeuge/Beutefahrzeuge")
Most of these vehicles were based on Trucks and Truck drive trains already in production so the logistical situation wasn't that bad. The rear wheels were replaced by track sprockets. That was the beauty of half tracks. The vehicle steered by the front wheels but past a certain point breaking pressure was applied (adjustable by the driver). In some ways cheaper than a 4WD or 6WD truck. The differential could be locked and steered without wheels as well alone. The US half tracks were much more complicated: they had front wheel drive, a central differential and a shorter track section.
I enjoyed that, TY!
All luxus for my eyes. Thanks for show
Such genius every vehicle suits it creations purposed, yet running still. Mind blowing idea for today's people to see and appreciated. Thanks for oldies.!
Great to see these machines running. What is amazing that's some pretty fair equipment by today's standards. I love those Kubelvagans.
amazed to see the many different types of half tracks those Germans did produced
That FAMO has a good turn of speed for a 18 ton vehicle.
Awesome video man!
Thanks!
This is awesome... I wish I could 'like' it twice...
Awesome footage
Im adding it to my bucket list
Thank you
german vehicles still operate pretty well.
김송 Anything moves well if maintained
Stoigen Froigen exept maus
And Panther tanks in 1943.
@@Scrat335 haha
@@befundara Pretty interesting statistics from Robert Forcysk. Batallion of T-34s move 400 km and have a breakdown rate of 15 percent. Battalion of Panthers move 90 km and have a breakdown rate of 35 percent. 1943. They improved later though but we're never as reliable as a T-34.
Better than today offroad.
Halbketten sind Meeeega geil❤️❤️❤️
I think those half track motorcycles look bad ass.
i like those and the huge truck the most
They really do
Fantástico!!!
Awesome..fantastic vision of these veterans in action!!
Those overlapping running wheels of German halftrack-vehicles are looking so sexy
Beautiful machinery!
Me and the boys on our way to Poland
Except some of these vehicles weren't used during the September campaign :|
@@professionalbabushka4591 ooooo, babushka, blyat
WOW there are some beautiful vehicles here! The Germans used the half track system on more trucks than any other Army in WWII and they had some BIG ones I believe one of them had a 12 ton load rating, the Cars I am not positive about but one at least looked like a Horch which was also 1 of the 4 that were forsed together and formed the Auto Union. The Kettenkrads looked really nice and there must be getting fewer and fewer of these available for buyers because the prices have jumped over the 100,000 USD mark a few years ago. I collect US Military heavy trucks and much more modern German Military trucks (Unimogs) its a great hobby and I have extremely high regards for the Unimogs!
Geiler Scheiß, könnte ich den ganzen Tag zuschauen... Gruß an alle und frohes Fest....!!
12:06 superbe
Lorraine 37L (Tracteur de Ravitaillement pour Chars 1937 L) bravo les gars très bien restauré. Superbe vidéo.
Boys and their toys ..What a great day out .
A great day ? They are not even driving it. Just a boring day...
Breathtaking! Perfect condition!
Toll , gefällt mir :-)
All of them are awesome
I kind of like how the public is given a chance to ride in them. In the US people are off limits as if they have the latest stealth fighter in secret components.
But there are places to ride antique tanks, etc. in America. These are antique German war vehicles, not modern day with secret electronics.
Holret here in fla there was a museum that you can ride in a M8 Greyhound armour reconnaissance vehicle. Sadly that museum isnt around anymore.
great!
A pleasant spring drive through the Ardennes.
Brilliant, some serious investment there,on the bucket list
Man the Germans really loved their half tracks...
Der Famo einfach nur GEIL das teil! :-)))))
the Sd.Kfz.9 at the beginning is moving just a little bit faster than I'm comfortable seeing one move
That's blitzkrieg speed.
Yeah, you are right.
The speed is impressive.
Kids: We are late from school.
Dad: Hold my Apfelsaft...
Wow! A Stug as well , I've died and gone to heaven.
What a coincidence VW cut the video to announce the T-cross model...
Impresionante,Saludos
Cool!
Love those halftrucks

Magnificent machines!
Moving fast this year

VERY COOOOOOL !!!🙂🙂🙂👍👍👍
Nice. You don't see running Schwimmwagen too often.
Algunos de estos cacharros los tuvimos de visita en España. En mala hora. Me alegra verlos usar para dar paseos por el bosque a gente normal.
If I were the richest sod in the galaxy, I'd own all of these vehicles. Yep!
They are great for making movies.
2:49 Well, that was unexpected. All these obviously military vehicles and then a tractor that looks like it belongs on a farm.
Does anybody knows if there's a video of the katiusha rockets show on CZcams? Thanks in advance 😉
I love sd.kfz.7,8 the most 💚💚💚

0:36 I Really Like that Car.
Nice. My hobby
omg I'm in love
NICE
It would be sick if they had Tiger 131(PzKfg Tiger l) and Tiger 133 (PzKfg Tiger ll) there.
So this is How Blitzkrieg looked like
How_nice!
Nice ......
My grand European tour will be performed in these vehicles! Warsaw, Paris, Brussels, Amsterdam, Copenhagen, maybe London and Moscow also!
German vehicles are build for long lasting. Like Panzer, kubelsitzwagen & many more. I wonder that they are in still operating condition. I think German engineering is the best.
wow nice!
