The Riverdales was hands down my favorite band of all time. I had a sorted history with them though. Loved SW in high school. Got out of group home in 95 and went to see green day because I heard SW was opening for them and there was some BS called “The Riverdales” opening for them. Hated it and was pissed. Then I was a club kid for 10 years. After that got back to my roots with Anthem for… etc and The Riverdales dropped Phase 3 and Invasion USA. Not only was I on board but fuck SW…. I saw them in the basement of a church in Philadelphia at 3pm on a Sunday afternoon like 2 weeks before the SXSW fiasco and it will go down in history as the best show I’ve ever been to. Most of it is here in CZcams if you search Riverdales First Unitarian Church. I’m NOT A FAN OF EITHER DANNY AND THE CHEATS OR MODERN SW. Please. For the love of god. You’re better together than the sum of your parts. That bitch had it coming to her. Just put it aside. Get back with Ben and combine both of your 75%’s to make a 150% album. PLEASE.
So Awesome 👍👍 Remember “Honest Don’s Records”? 20 years later I found out that Fat Mike was behind it. That first Teen Idols record was so well written. I saw them & the Lillingtons in Richmond, Virginia in the late nineties. Where did my life go? 😢
