You gotta at least once. They got me into punk with ''Let's Go''. I just saw them for the first time 2 years ago. It was everything i hoped it would be. My only regret is not doing it sooner. It just never seemed to work out.

I met Tim at the Loft in Austin Texas in 88 at Op Ivy. He stopped the show because some grunge kids were talking shut about my big hair Mohawk. Tim was shaved bald at the time. He told them I had more balls because I look the way I want and they all look the same. Next we drank Lone Star and hung our. Super nice person and a leader. Next time I saw Tim he was on Mtv with Rancid and he was rocking an identical Mohawk as mine. True story.

That's a kickass story!! I met Tim after a Rancid show in Houston around 2006. He was very friendly and took a pic with us, he was really fucking cool. That pic is one of my most prized possessions, lol
They would have never made it big, without Lars. 100% fact, he was the special sauce in the Big Mac!
Lars I have been since I was a kid, a legend too underestimated for my taste, but this guy is great

You can look at it that way if you wanna be cynical AF. Fact is for years hellcat was putting out bands we never would have gotten to hear otherwise. If there was no sincerity to their music it would have been smarter to hop on the numetal train back in the 90s.

I have no problem.with him. He really does have some good tunes under his belt. But it does seem like he jumps around a bit in regards to scene/subculture. However.....life is fucking short, and who the fuck cares?

He didn't go to a UK subs show and ask to be in the band.
The UK subs show was canceled and they sureness a show lars' band was playing. They played a uk subs cover and they were so impressed they approached him and asked him to join their band.
He blew it off thinking they were just being nice, then a couple days later they called him and asked him to fly to Europe to go on tour with them.
