Sir, what is the difference b/w Alternate Vote System (Plurality system) and PR STV?
good question...in STV winning candidate(s) need to get more than a fixed quota of votes; in AVS, winner should get more than 50% votes(preferences). Hence, AVS shall have single member constituency whereas in STV multi-member constituency is the norm. Otherwise voting in both system are same, voters marking preferences.
Thank you sir.
But sir, in India the president is elected through STV whereas the seat for president is one. Plz explain.
@@geographyconceps.3658 yes...STV may also be used to select single candidate...also in president's election, voters( MP/MLA) have multiple votes.
Thank you very much sir.

sir president election me bina evm machine itni complex vote counting election commission kaise ker leta hai or agar wo koi machine use kerta hai to jab machine nahi hoti thi to vote counting kaise ki jati thi....?

Voters simply vote for party, not allowed to give preference to any candidate of the party; suppose a party gets 30 % votes and hence 30 % of seats thereafter it nominates its candidates for the seats won
