- Charlie sits down with Jack to talk the impact Michail Antonio's return from injury has had on West Ham's fortunes, the front line along with Lucas Paqueta, Mohammed Kudus and Jarrod Bowen and which strikers the Hammers, David Moyes and Tim Steidten should be targetting to replace him

Great video , love hearing Jacks knowledgeable perspectives
Hiya Charlie. FANTASTIC video. Love videos with/from Jack cos he makes the complex analysis of tactics etc sound so simple and understandable. Any chance in a future vid you could get Jack's take on JWP and how to best utilise him in the starting 11 in terms of his position etc?? Would love to hear his thoughts.
With regards to this vid, it baffles me why we seem to struggle sooooo badly to get a striker to work at our club. I honestly feel a last truly great centre forward was Dean Ashton and how long has he been retired FFS? We have had good strikers since then but none of them have fulfilled their potential which I think is largely down to the manager, club etc.
Noone can be dissapointed with you and Jack, Charlie.
Very rarely will you find a striker that offers both hold up play and runs in behind. You typically get one or the other. I love him. Favourite ever West Ham player.
I think it's becoming more important for the 10 to join the press, recently. Paqueta, I feel is still trying to find the balance of where and when to do it. It's not an easy task. Wouldn't mind seeing Kudus come and alleviate him of that role during periods of the game to share the work load and him and Paqueta taking turns at alternating between playing from the left and as the 10 - It looks a physically demanding role (playing the 10) at the moment as they seem to be supporting Antonio's press a lot more.
I'll be checking out the podcast. Adams is a good shout. Not sure Brobys qualities carry over to the PL.
I don't think there can any risks taken on the CF signing. I'd rather pay slightly over the odds and get it right (from the likely Paqueta money) that looking to take a risk and getting it totally wrong. A top CF and Kudus as the 10, Bowen RW and a left winger and you are more than half way there.
Anyone who doesn't rate Antonio hasn't played the game at any decent level.
Spot on. Michy is a different breed that is clearly so difficult to find in the transfer market
Without antonio moyes system collapses but he is not consistant some games he is world class some games absolutely shite
Does anyone know how long his contract renewal was for
so nice to have a video on this cannel that isn't just negative for a change.
Big time
Negative, unrealistic, ungrateful to name a few words that sum up most of the West Ham fans that view, run and certainly write here.
I know and I’m one of those who is now apathetic about the team and whether we do well because moyes has brought his negative brand of football to our club. Yes he helped us to remain in the premier league but the last two and a half years have been dour and that includes a cup win. We struggled in the league last season and if you include the period from December 22 then the cup win disguised our poor results and that’s with an expensively put together team. Do not be fooled by moyes and his propaganda about 3 years in europe etc
"We like aggressive strikers"
Yes we do. ⚒️

Great discussion guys
It's kind of mental that Antonio is still our only striker option.
I still maintain that Scamacca and Ings were brought in by the club to give moyes the opportunity to switch formation style of play etc. But moyes in my view is not a good enough coach to do that so these strikers end up losing their spark and natural ability and end up looking shit or being labelled lazy because their game isn't based on what Antonio does.
Scamacca is lazy and has a bad attitude its been mentioned by atalanta he doesn't even have 10 goals in 30 games for them
@josephridler-em5pk
Yea I've heard that and probably true, but still think he is a great instinctive striker. The goals he got for us were all very different, wolves and Fulham at home and Leeds away were superb
antonio lost acceleration now, we should have signed replacements for cress and him 2-3 seasons ago learning the ropes off them whilst trying to force their way into the team; but we are too cheap to do this
I dont know why we find it so difficult to look for a striker which has similar attributes to antonio...
A striker with pace, strong, hold up and intelligent enough to run the channels. It shouldn't be as hard as we've made it
cuz no one plays this shit football any more
Because of david moyes he can't run a bath he definitely can't run a football team we need a new manager
Ajax Brobbery sounds the perfect replacement for Antonio if Moyes stays but if he doesn't (fingers, toes, bollocks crossed) the new manager might want someone different up front
Its great the tip of the spear is back. Important point about looking after him and not flogging him back to injury. Hes irreplaceable and unique. Built by the same firm who did Stonehenge and terrifies all defenders up against him.
means nothing when we get a new manager lmao
This is assuming that Moyes stays but if he leaves these wont be strikers that we will need coz asides from Moyes, other Head coaches/managers dont play a isolated striker like he does.
Excellent video guys, nice to hear ppl with football and data analysis knowledge talk about Antonio
If antonio is what we have to look forward to God help us,
I gently caressed the thumbs down button for this comment
If you don't look forward to winning games.. Then God help you
Good morning Longshanks,
Fact of the matter is I do look forward to winning games but alas he isn`the answer, he is far more likely to get injured than score 6 goal in our remaining games
It is true I`ve never been a fan of his, he has ponced a living imo, and here we are again waiting for "beast " mode, I have to admit , that tag is hilarious.
Have a Nice Day Now@@K1NG_EDWARD
