I would agree with the previous comment. Definitely want to do some research. But I would also tell you that since Grant at FreedomVanGo was in your backyard, more or less, he’s talking about an option that you can add that will allow the diesel to ramp up for exactly the purpose of getting the lithium batteries charged any issues with the motor. he dropped a recent CZcams video about the new EKKO Sprinter, and discusses this briefly. Yaso, I believe works on vehicles like yours, so definitely definitely worth talking to him.
Good video and I agree that our amp hours are nothing to live off for a great amount of time. I would check with another mechanic about idling your diesel for long periods. New diesel with DEF fluid might not like it and there is something to do with the regen ability. Interstate driving doesn't effect it too much because it runs hotter and takes care of itself. I used to drive a diesel delivery truck and every now and then it would not allow me to drive while it performed a regen. Basically maintained high rpm until complete, like 5 min or so. Just something to double check because I think it is a very divided topic.
Yes it's not the best thing to do we have a F250 and when it goes into Regen it's loud & crazy for sure the sprinter goes into Regen but it real quite Adgel off road makes a plug and play high idle kit that I am looking into
Let it run, let it run... but you are wasting more gas than the generator. Since you have warranty you don't want to worry about carbon buildup but what happens if there is major problem just after warranty? You might have to do oil changes more often than specified intervals. What are your thoughts on remote start generators- they usually start with 5000W little heavier around 80 pounds. Some have bluetooth mode so you can hook up the phone and see the readings or you can fix a small cam and if you have wifi in RV you can watch the sensor lights on generator through the camera app on phone. I have been searching a remote start generator for 3000W or under but they usually only sell it greater than 5KW systems. I am even thinking about moving a portable a/c unit which works under 1KW power to my van - not sure how well it will work with generator fumes outside. One good thing with your system is when you let generator run for 6 hours, it should charge back your batteries (LiFePO4) so you get another few hours on battery and with a remote start you don't even have to get up/outside to start the generator.

Thank you I am using the new DJI pocket camera & it comes with a DJI mic works great I was using like 3 cameras now I use one I like it a lot
