He did "Sultans of Swing" as a duet with Mary Spender...it's really worth checking out. She is so down to earth...their images create such a juxtaposition, but it works so well you just can't take your eyes off of them.
Yeah, Leo's verson of Sultans of Swing with Mary is awesome.
My favourite Leo track by far.
First one I saw. Came across it quite by accident. Watched it, then Africa. I was hooked!
Since I visited this review... again... he did the sultans of swing cover a few days ago. Just wanted to let you know. ^^
Whenever you watch a Leo cover you should always watch the outros. That's the only way you can really hear an original song written and performed by Leo (even though they are promos for collaborating artists and his music). They are also pretty entertaining. I'm also fairly sure Rabea's name is pronounced Rah-be-uh 🤘😁🤘
Just do everything Leo does.
Agreed
You need to check out his Sultans of Swing. Just as much fun and another gifted guest singer/guitar player.
Leo is always great. Check out his cover of Dance Monkey also with Hannah. It's very funny in disturbing Leo way
My main reactor, unfortunately kind of sidelined at the moment, Chilzthesavage does all his reactions live. His first song of the day is always a Leo cover. Says it gets things off to a good start. Recent discovery of his was Leo's accoustic playlist
No one has more fun making music than Leo... I am 100% convinced.
He is just going in.
Leo is a pure musical genius, no matter what cover he does their a work of musical art theirs no one like him. This man has so many covers to chose from, so many.
I think the biggest question I would have is will Leo ever tour and perform these songs live, well I was a bit premature on that thought, he did do a concert: Frog Leap - Live at Wacken Open Air 2019. So if you want to see some live stuff, there you go. Thanks for this one.
Leo is awesome!!!!
«I'm a big goofball, you know. Don't tell anyone that, but I'm a big goofball. In Australia we call it a dag.», Hugh Jackman
This is bad ass!!!!
Was about to rage at you for not watching and reacting to the outro on this video. They even did the outro live when they went on tour a couple years ago. The outro for this song is the best (IMO) Leo has ever done!
Yup me too :p
Another great reaction! This was the first Leo video I seen a few years back. Loved it! He has lots of good ones but this one is definitely my favorite!
Your review, much like the cover, hit on all cylinders. Thanks for your attention to detail! So many reactors miss detail, because they are anxious to insert themselves. You inserted the hell out of yourself, but it was all timely and on point. It didn't detract. Sounds easy, I know its not. You don't watch many music videos, but appreciated this, and I appreciated your effort for similar reasons.
Love this guy and his covers! So awesome!
I've been to Rabea's channel and does some great stuff. He also has Hanna joining him for some songs. The do a excellent version of "Wicked Games", the Chris Isaak song.
Leo actually programs the drums, then shoots video of him playing. Does a great job too. You'd never know. If you search, you'll find that he has a video where he chronicles his process to make one of his music videos from start to finish. The amazing thing is that he can start on Monday and put the finished product up on Friday. Love this guy. Amazing talent. Over 4 million subscribers now.
You watched the outro, that's a must!
Rabea and Hannah return for Leo's cover of Dance Monkey. I highly recommend it.
Found you when you did Ghost Love Score and discovered my favourite musical react channel. Love your honest and insightful analysis and your infectious laugh. Keep up the amazing work, I have already discovered so much good music just digging through your videos.
FEELIN' YOU David!!!
Leo is absolutely awesome. Skilled and amusing. Love his work. As several people below have said "Sultans of Swing" is a great one. "Hello" is also one of the ones I love from him along with this one. Anyways, enjoyed your breakdown and reaction so thanks for brightening up my day a bit.
P.S. Yes, Leo usually has longer advertisements at the end of his songs but they're frequently funny and may be worth filming for possible B reels just in case.
This was my favorite of his. Also the first I heard of his a while ago.
Rabea is a killer guitar player! He slayed that solo \m/. I also like the music from his band Toska and the Sound Like Series @ Anderton's he's on as well
Leo is so prolific, I think he puts out a new song every week
Wow! Wow! Thank you for this video. I've seen it before (many times) and I just love it. It's sooo entertaining!
Please also do Leo's Dance Monkey (with Hannah as well). I play that one constantly on the loop.
And you should also check Hannah herself, she's a great, great singer!
I'm not asking for a reaction video but, you really should watch the live version of this. I think you'll dig it. It sounds like live audio dubbed over at least two performances I think. Hanna is just a delight on stage, the girls got as much energy as she has good looks. It's even got the "B" part done up live too.
If you haven’t already done it .. the cover of “ listen to your heart “ he kills it 💯🔥🤘.. love your channel and subbed as of now .. Rock on brother 🤘
gotta love Leo he is always on point with his covers, also i agree with some of the comments about Dance Monkey. :D Hello is also a great one.
"he's such a goofball!" - totally! yesss!
my, I love my goofball people.
"Who hasn't heard Africa?"
and I am like "Who doesn't love that song?"
One of my favorites in cheerful songs category. You should see the church version if you haven't, yet :-)
I love how you know your shit bro. Teaching and reminding me (as a drummer and try-my-best guitarist) of some things too. I like your style.
Subbed.
Studying music for over 40 years pays off sometimes.
"I'm glad I watched that". Leo in a nutshell. His antics can inspire others to antics. I remember when a certain reactor (not gonna mention his name but his initials are Alex Hefner) nearly gave himself a concussion imitating Leo's back-of-the-chair headbang.
Alex has got that Geek Chic down to a science, doesn't he?
I love Alex, I'll never forget the time he realized that Jen was the one singing backing vocals for Skillet and lost his crap "SHE'S THE DRUMMER?! SHE'S THE F-ING DRUMMER?!"
(checks to see if you watched the outro....) YAY!
You've got to check out his version of the song Dance Monkey. He invites Hanna and Rabea back to perform with him on it and they take a song that I think is garbage and turn it into something absolutely FANTASTIC!
The best covers in metal from Leo.
Funny reaction 😁😁
Hannah and Rebea are also youtuber. For me personally, Leo's songs with guests are among the best. There are many of them.
Leo ft Violet Orlandi with the Roxette song "Listen to your heart" is just another.
Leo ft Mary Spender "Sultans of Swing" is an absolut banger.
I think if a video contains an outro that advertises all those involved artists so that one buy their songs, then they also belong in the reaction. After all, you use their videos for yourself as well. I think that's how it should be. I wouldn't even have to think about it.
Apart from that, it's definitely worth it with Leo. 😁🤘
If you wanna see him take the video a little more serious, check out "Mama" by Genesis, "Heavy" by Linkin Park (his tribute after Chester passed), and "Tragedy" by The BeeGees (not so much that he's serious per se, just not his goofy side). He has a few songs with Hannah and/or Rabea, and they are now full time members of Frog Leap (his touring band). For other good collab songs, "Sultans of Swing" (Mary Spender), "Listen To Your Heart" (Violet Orlandi), "What Is Love" (Priscilla Serrano), Carry On Wayward Son (Truls Haugen, the 4th member of Frog Leap. Like Leo he and Rabea can play multiple instruments), and Wake Me Up (Trey Xavier). If you want some deep cuts, back before his channel completely exploded after "Hello" and this song, he did a few alternative covers of Metal Songs. His cover of "Painkiller" by Judas Priest is pretty cool. You've got reaction options for days, as he had been putting out a new video every Friday for the last 5+ years. Only missing a few of them. He has kids songs, Halloween songs, Christmas songs, TV show n cartoon theme songs, pop, country, rap, R&B, soul, punk, bluegrass, German, Korean, Spanish, and Japanese songs. He might just have the single greatest rabbit hole on all of youtube. No joke.
Yes you need to check out Hannah, she sings a few covers and her voice is absolutely astounding, I could listen to her angelic voice all day, amazing gal!
I don't mind so much about Toto, but the outro was an instant purchase for me. Was hoping you'd do the B-reel.
Check Leo's cover on Dance monkey. Thats a good one
9.1 is about right, it's one of his very best covers, legendary! Leo is seldom less than great. Hannah and Rabea often collaborate with Leo, and tour with him when he plays live. Great reaction!
Rabeah, in Spanish sounds like "rabies", as in "the the rabid one , the beast", but it also means fury, energy...
You always have to watch all of the Outro‘s of all of his videos I’ve only ever seen one that wasn’t that good. Also Leo Fridays are really good idea.
Yes.
if you want a good laugh, listen to his version of "the wheels of the bus", its hilarious haha
At 22:22 those guys became Bill and Ted in my mind lmao
Dude you missed the outro? It is effing epic
I didn't miss it....it's in the video.
1) Hey old dude (US).
2) I'm old dude (UK).
This is how [Country's] Got Talent has to fail and the kids of today are the Led Zep, Queen, Nirvana and Olivia Rodrigo if today.
The last one, check out. she had a massive bust up, on Twitter as people though Brutal was an Elvis Costello rip off. He waded in and said he nicked it from The Beatles.
Give her song a go. Fuck man. It's brutal being a kid, now!
Kids have it tough:
"I'm insecure, I think. That I'll die before I drink!"
ie dead before 21. That shit's out generation!
Of course you must have heard of it, but..... Disturbed -Sound of Silence (cover)
There is another funny Toto - Africa cover out there. It's titled "when you try all the sounds and beats on your synth while only playing toto - africa" on the SethEverman channel. It's pretty funny and comes in under three minutes.
No need for a reaction, I just thought it was good for a laugh.
Kiss? If you were talking about the guitar, that was a Dimebag signature guitar. If you weren't talking about the guitar then I am an idiot and missed it hahaha
No no no there was a KISS sticker on the guitar itself. I know that's a Dimebag signature series Dean, love that design.
Leo‘s covers are always musically good, AND super funny! Check out his Slipknot cover… 😉👍⚡️🤘
You know it's a good video when David's face gets beat red from laughing to much
where is the end dude?
If you like Rabea he doe the SOUND LIKE videos on Andertons Music yt channel... Where they show you how to sound like a certain band or guitarist WITHOUT breaking the bank AND how to sound like those bands BY BREAKING the bank.... Really good series
Sounds like something I'll have to check out.
@@THEDavidHeretic its very cool ive been subbed to them for couple years.... If you keyword SOUND LIKE JIMI HENDRIX itll pull up the vids for ya... But they do sound like on a budget and without a budget for every artist....i just say jimi cause thats the one im watching now... Lmao
Love your reactions! You should check out Wagakki Band - 焔 (Homura) + 暁ノ糸 (Akatsuki no Ito) / 1st JAPAN Tour 2015 Hibiya Yagai Ongakudo for your next reaction, I'm pretty sure you'll find it interesting!
Already in the que, added your name to the requesters.
And sorry about the request, I just read the rule that we need to be Bronze Patreon to be allowed to request.
Won't happen again! I was actually about to suggest some more...
@@hawkwood7011 No worries man, no harm no foul.
Frozen rocked. It’s so funny
yep leo's dance monkey yes ---- OH I See you did Sultans of Swing --- You totally totally have to do Leo's Sultans of Swing... and watch the outro.... Mary Spennnder Mary Spennder
You cut it off too soon. Leo always has surprises at the end
No I didn't, I played the entire video and I saw the ending.
Not fan of this song at all...but this was cool an fun
Want to sell your house? Ask Leo.... that's a hint
You gave this a 9.1.. and radiohead reckoner a 8.9?!?!?!?! Thats heresy.... this is good but it is in no way better than reckoner... just.... no....
Please make your background your background again and not an overlay over the video you're reacting to. Thanks.
The background is still the background, the video is using an opacity filter set at 70% opacity. This helps the videos from getting blocked. I do include a link to the video in the description so you can watch the full unedited original video at your leisure.
