Wes Ball did the Maze Runner trilogy. Am not sure though I think so.

What I loved about the old movies with Charlton Heston were that the apes were all done with prosthetics. Now everything is CGI.

Spoiler alert: The movie is good, for the first time that even the human protagonist, Nova( Mae) was not better than the ape, she's not a bad person, but not doing it for the ape's interest too even though she owed her life to the apes. The only flaws that I still don't understand why near the end of movie she didn't take the opportunity to end Proximus, bad writting? By the end of the movie some audience may feel that would we want the human to rise again? B'coz we know once human have the upper hands, they will try to dominated earth again and seems like impossible to co-exist with smart apes

I had the honour of being one of the humans , was amazing to be in and awesome movie , bit disappointed the humans didn’t get a few seconds longer , was very fast and we did a lot of work for those scenes and hardly got to see ourselves , to quick , but loved the whole experience

they´re going to do more movies.. i guess it will happen in the next movies, remember its suposse the bad movie of tim burton to be the last one of the saga, when apes doind human stuff like police officers and that. So this next movies maybe would be about Apes trying to learn human stuff and weapons.

in the old ones like tim burtons 2001, the monkey was female protagonist with the man actor, you even havent seen the other movies man.

I'm starting to think that those who say the movie is bad say it because they wanted Caesar to be the protagonist again, something impossible because we all saw his death. Obviously Caesar will always be our favorite ape, but that does not mean that a new quality story cannot be told with worthy villains and protagonists. The film is not totally perfect, but it is very enjoyable, entertaining and is worthy of Caesar's legacy
