Nothing inherently mattering means that you can decide for yourself what matters. I've found that the law and rule of our society mostly align with what I want out of this world. This reminds me a bit of Endless Eight. In case you don't know (I know it's pretty old) they're 8 episodes of the anime Haruhi Suzumiya which are largely the same, but the lines are delivered differently, there are different 'camera angles,' and each episode has unique animations - they don't actually reuse anything between episodes. The only character consciously aware of the loop takes the opportunity to catch a new type of bug each loop, when they go bug-hunting.
This is an interesting concept, of two people being stuck in a time loop, presumably beginning with Chalmers' arrival and ending with his departure, and deciding to endlessly go through motions very similar to those they did on their first time through, most changes from loop to loop simply being comments on the precise sequence of actions they are repeating, save for when Chalmers asked that Skinner say Aurora Borealis Entirely Within His Kitchen.
I like how Chalmers says "Well Seymour- ah- steamed hams?" at the start, like the knowledge and their old memories of the loop entered their minds right then.
As someone who have been watching Steamed hams videos for more than 6 years now I safely say that this one was very creative with the whole temporal looping idea. You just made every steamed hams video canon now.
The idea that every version of this meme is just a groundhog day scenario is really interesting. One day they decide to deliver their lines while singing feel good inc., the next theyre alphabetizing their words, the next one seymour never lies. Theyre just stuck and bored, and every meme is them fighting monotony.

I've watched a unhealthy amount of Steamed Ham takes in my time, and having just a really meta one where they both know what there in and just going thought the motions to get it over with is one of the funnier takes I've seen, and a really good one to watch once you've seen a bunch of these already.
The tragedy is that Chalmers knows Skinner is lying. Skinner knows that Chalmers knows. But he still can't admit the truth. Is it pride? Or is it that he'd rather cling to the familiar loop than face the uncertainty of a world that can change? You can feel the pain of Chalmers, hoping that his friend will finally move on from the charade. But he never does, and so they remain trapped.
Someone make them address the Infinite loop of Luncheons, fantastic. Tbh I was hoping they break the cycle, but just talk it out at the door way like some Fallout quest is fine too.

missed opportunity for skinner to walk into the kitchen on the last loop and see a perfectly cooked roast or actual steamed hams and be genuinely surprised because the loop is broken
The part that completely slayed me was after skinner's mother shouted her usual line about the fire, Skinner just laughed it off in a menacing tone. Wasn't ready for that at all, such a simple but brilliant edit.
