    A 58 and 59 Les Paul and a 54 Strat!! 3 of the rarest most expensive guitars on the planet all in 1 flight case, oh what it must be like to be one of the greatest guitarists to have ever lived!!

      is it not the famous Pensa MK1 (Pensa-Suhr back then) the most expensive?

    • @satch60
      @satch60 Před 7 lety

      Mac J No, your talking £250'000 for a 59 Les Paul alone. A 58 Les Paul goes for around £150'000 and a 54 Strat is £100'000+ so as good as the Pensa is, it doesn't compare price wise.

    That Tele is Davids

    • @lapelcelery42
      @lapelcelery42 Před 2 lety

      I believe it was actually never David's. On early tours David used to use Mark's Tele, and Mark used to use David's for open G tuning. So the black thinline one from live performances of Water of Love was David's, and this sunburst was Mark's.

    Does the third Signature strat (Glenn Worf's one ?) has got 9-42 strings ? An different red color ?

    @romaingaudron7177 Před 3 lety

    Just one question , he says that a MK Signature origine pickups are changed or not ??
    I’ m french and don’t understand

    • @lapelcelery42
      @lapelcelery42 Před 2 lety

      No, one of the signature ones is used in place of the '54 for venues where the RF interference is too much, because the pickups in the signature Strat can cancel hum by selecting two pickups at a time. The '54 can only select a single pickup at a time, which is noisier.

    • @cheyne15
      @cheyne15 Před 5 lety +2

      Still here! I quit after nearly 20 years with MK as I'd pretty had enough of touring, especially after the the last Dire Straits 'On Every Street' tour which was gruelling and not so happy. I moved into Apple Mac IT work but still play guitar and still see MK and some of the guys socially.

      @@cheyne15 How did you do the split mod on the Soldanos?

    • @cheyne15
      @cheyne15 Před 3 lety

      @@RideAcrossTheRiver The Soldanos were modified by Pete Cornish so they could be incorporated in his rack system. Basically, the preamp section of each amp was set up to act as 'A' or 'B' each one feeding both power sections each of which drove the two Marshall 4 x12' (fitted with EV's). This meant I could set up the next song sound on 'B' say, after he finished a song on the 'A' preamp. It's not that complicated but Cornish made it foolproof and noise-free. The FX rack was switched at the same time.
