HEALTH INSURANCE ?? We've received a lot of questions about getting health insurance if you are over 70. There IS insurance available in Panama with no age restrictions. But International Health insurance is not available.. If you travel to the United States a lot, you may want to keep Medicare. You can also buy travelers insurance when you travel instead of getting international health insurance.
IS U.S Retired military Tricare accepted there. To get the retire visa does health Insurance have to be certified and to meet coverages..if so Tricare refuse to issue coverages for outpatient and inpatient.
And you will continue to get these questions about health insurance in Panama. That’s why everyone wants to get out of USA because of health costs. If they can’t get healthcare in Panama, it’s not on my list for retirement I can assure you. What happens to this ex pat if she should need a triple by pass surgery? Is she going to pay out of pocket? These are knee jerk reactions that make folks move down there without a plan. These are great videos only if you like to ignore your looming medical costs.
If you are an African American when you travel out of the United States you will realise that you have been living under a thick dark cloud. Try it. Thank me later.
I absolutely love how you're over 70 and moved out of your comfort zone alone and started a new chapter in your life! Bless you! Also, thanks for all the detailed info!
Romance dies fast. I went to Panama and after a few months, everything got boring. Food is more expensive than in Canada, and there are zones you should not walk at night, even for a guy.
I was walking in the street. Panama has one of those crazy weathers where suddenly the sky opens and half of the Pacific Ocean pours down. I was rapidly walking to find a coffee shop to get into. A guy in his car called me and when I looked he had his umbrella in his hand offering it to me. I couldn't accept but can't forget that kindness towards a complete stranger.

I loved your video, god bless you!! You’ve inspired me to consider Panama. Living in America as a black woman is depressing. I want OUT!! I’m only 31 && experienced racism trying to get my hair done. It really hurt my feelings. I’m a hard worker && willing to do whatever it takes. I just need the proper guidance. Thank you for being such a beautiful gem 💎.
I'm so glad you mention about being looked at as just being a person. That's all I want to be looked at as being. I'm so tired of racism and crazy racist people.
@JoeEspo17- Your tiredness is noted. Wow, such luxury to imagine that your tiredness is of importance enough to actually share with others. Imagine living it. Better yet, try to imagine living in another person's shoes.
I too, have done this with my husband-we once relocated to Central America for season of our lives, but now I'm a widow and I intend to do it again. I could see Panama as being my new home. I was thinking of Portugal but Portugal has cold winters and I had enough of cold winters in Chicago.
Actually, it’s easy when you CHOOSE to change your life and follow through, and even easier when you rid yourself of all the literal and figurative baggage we saddle ourselves with - SO many possessions that people rent storage to keep the extra that won’t fit in their homes! lol Seriously, though, anything your mind can conceive, you CAN achieve - you just have to work through the mental blocks you allow to stay in your way. When it all comes down to it, I personally don’t want to realize at 70 or 80 or whatever that I’ve lived my life tied to possessions or people or places out of obligation, rather than living the life *I* choose for myself. (inspiration directly from reading Napoleon Hill and many others since age 13) Good luck with whatever YOU choose!
This was the first video I am across about Panama Relocation Tours and I knew Panama would be my home away from home. She looks so content and at ease in this video. I have wanted over 50 videos, purchased the guide and listened to many of the recordings. I long for the day I plant me feet on the soils of Panama.
Stay tuned! We just did a follow up video with Krstl to give an update on how she is doing in Panama including her new business and new love in her life!!
At least she is making an honest effort to learn the local language. It was always mind boggling to me how many people would move to a foreign country with no desire to learn the local language and customs.
Hi David, The Panama Relocation Tour group sometimes visits Las Tablas. I love that town!! Send an email to jackie@panamarelocationtours.com I'd love to invite you to join us for lunch when the tour group is in Las Tablas so you can share what you think about living there.
Wow! What a lovely lady! over 70? Never would of guessed that. She looks great! What an awesome story too as well as inspiring. Although, it really is sad that a person has to leave your own country to be treated properly, sad. Glad she found her place. Anyways, she seems so happy and life is treating her great!!! Cheers to you Krstl. :)

Krstl, your story is both moving and heart-warming to me. You expressed your situation so calmly and clearly, which makes me feel like I know you and I believe every word you say. I am not Black but I am a minority (we are all in different situations) and I want to relocate so I can live on my SS monthly check comfortably. I do not look to buy property, drive a car, etc. I walk, take public transit, rent. I like the idea of learning and socializing with other Expats but Boquete may not be for me. However, I consider myself a resourceful person and surely open to exploring all available options - still taking notes. Krstl had a scary medical emergency but by sharing her experience, she is helping other SINGLE RETIREES like myself to see the relocation possibility from a different perspective. Thank YOU!
Thank you for your time dedicated to this video. I'm retired, 66yrs old, empty nester and ready to make a move. After viewing your commentary I feel comfortable contacting Relocation Tours. One of my main concerns are transport of furniture and car, is it possible to bring those items w/me. Being an only child and keeper of approx. Once again, thank you for the inspiration and seeing that dreams can come true.
Krstl, I so enjoyed listening to your video. I give you so much credit for searching the internet, and never giving up. You sound so happy, I'm happy for you. Your home is gorgeous. Thank God you found Jackie with all her wisdom. The best to you, enjoy your life, and when you said you were 70, I was shocked. You no way look your age. Sending hugs,

Krstl, you are amazing! I'm in my mid 60's and a single traveler. I plan to retire soon and Panama is my only choice to retire in. I definitely intend to take the Panama Relocation Tour and bring myself right on down there for freedom and relaxation!
@@dariob52 I will be moving to Pensacola from ATL in March. But I didn't want to be so close to the beach. I thought Panama City would be halfway from the West of the beach to the Tallahassee point. I didn't want to be as far east as Tallahassee. Thing is I remember visiting Panama City Beach as a teenager and had the worse racist treatment ever in my life. It was one of the stores in Panama as a tourist and again at a pit stop on the way home. It's something I never forgot and I would never want to live around anything like that. So is there an area near there that's African American friendly. It's sad that I would even have to ask such a thing. But unfortunately it's the life we live being melenated in America
I enjoyed this video so much. As a young child, we visited Panama with my mother. This is where my mom and her sisters and brothers were raised. My mom's extended family all live in the US now. She met my dad when he was stationed in the military and they got married and moved to the States. I would love to take the Panama Relocation Tour now as an adult. Thank you for sharing your experience. You're a beautiful young looking 70 year old! I have a travel business and this inspired me to visit and promote Panama for others to enjoy. Thank you for sharing 😊
I agree with so many others who have left comments... Kristi’s review of Panama and the Panama Relocation Tours is THE BEST!!! It is honest, comprehensive, sincere, clear, thorough, and highly informative. Kristi, I wish you the very best. Thank you so much for sharing your experiences,
@@jimeckland Yeah ok, maybe in your neighborhood. I have helped many people in my day in the USA and have been helped. But it seems to be a different USA than the one I remember. I'm sure that there are a few good people left(a few), but the majority of the young are consumed with social media and likes to be concerned with other people. This is what I see a majority of the time. I'm happy that this is not your experience. There is still hope!!!
Krstl. You have a beautiful gift of communicating. I watched your more recent video twice before finding this one. A lot changed for you between the two recordings. My impression is that Panama has been wonderful for you. God has blessed you. :)
I love this! I youtubed expats in Panama for the exact questions she answered. Thank you Krstl! This was awesome especially knowing you're comfortable as a older black woman. Thanks SO much!
Krstl you are AMAZING!!! I know this video was 4 years ago but I just found it and have enjoyed hearing your honest description of your time in Bogete. I hope you are still doing well there. I am 61 yrs old and ready to get out of the US! I am hoping to take a tour in February 2025. Thank you so much for this video! God bless you🙏🏾
This is the best video I have watched and tell her thank you. What makes it so great? She had lived there at least a year/her background information on her investigation of panama/her personal experiences/and all of the great information/perspective she provided. Thanks Again Krstl:)
SO GLAD to see this updated video from Krstl!!! Saw her first one! GREAT Video Panama Relocation Tours!! THANKS KRSTL!!! Lots of details. That medical bill was really high though. $6,000..but I know it would be MORE here in the US. I would have to make sure I got some health coverage. Krstl you look AWESOME TO BE OVER 70 yrs old!!!!!
Powerful words I am black, old, and a female. I love the way the Panamanian women aided her during time of need. 🇵🇦This was a really nice interview. Much success!

wow, in all the years you've lived you now feel like a person. Enough said! That's amazing. So sad our color, gender, age dictates who a person is treated. The richest country in the world has a lot to learn from others around the world.
Wonderful testimonial. I have visited Panama and it is beautiful and the people are amazingly friendly. Sounds like Krsti found her happy place. I wish the video showed some of the outdoors, it's naturally impressive.
Wow your story is so inspiring, such an adventurous, get it spirit!! I must say you're beautiful both inside and out. You're spirit just radiates through the video. Thank you for sharing so very detailed with lots of gems. Blessings to you 🌻
Kristi, Your You Tube departure from America is totally understood and I can share your desires to re- invent life after 70 as my age over shadows your 72 years of wisdom by 8 years. "Bravo, your open bravery has allowed you to choose wisely:" Were it not for being exposed to an herbicide product pump sprayed on poison oak/ivy, sawtooth briars & other wildly growing weeds/tall grasses, we might be next door neighbors as I intend to see my plans through to make Boquete' my final "casa bonita". II have made plans to do a two (2) week search and exploratory Boquete' & Volcan' rental property caravan with intent to sign a minimum six(6) month lease until moving several months afterward leaving my native born USA in the rear view mirror. All my immediate family think I have lost "all of my marbles" but I have spoken to my "Father In Heaven and WE are on the same page of Our Bible". I'm going for IT in "Ever So Sweet Panama"!

You are so welcome! We have space available on the Panama Relocation Tours. See details here panamarelocationtours.com/tours
Krstl, you are amazing! I'm in my mid 60's and a single traveler. I plan to retire soon and Panama is my only choice to retire in. I definitely intend to take the Panama Relocation Tour and bring myself right on down there for freedom and relaxation!
You can do it! A Panama Relocation Tour is the best way to learn about moving to Panama the RIGHT WAY! They made Krstl's move easy!
I live in Panama for 3 yrs , We was station at Albrook Air Froce Base loved it .
I was born in Panama - Canal Zone. Not sure which AFB it was - maybe Albrook?
M Chrysogelos lived next to Albrook in early 70’s. Went to Los Rios elementary and Diablo Heights elementary.
Thanks, nice to hear feedback from a regular person
I am glad you are happy. I am considering a move to Panama when I am able also and I am a black American female.
@@dariob52 Really why is that just curious I have no information about the place.
Google User Don’t you realize that they’re talking about Panama City, Panama 🇵🇦 in Central America and not Panama City in Florida??? 🇺🇸
@@mikeh.7025 I'm talking about Florida
Lyric Parker I get that lady however this video is about Panama, Panama the country.
You are DELIGHTFUL 😊 I visited friends in Boquete last year and am TOTALLY in agreement how wonderful it is !!!!!
It really is!
I really admire this woman.
This along with the other videos made me want to retire to Panama..7 years to go til retirement 🙏🏽
I’m so glad u found your happy place!!!
What is the name of your travel business?
I love this lady! Great outlook and very informative video. Love her honesty.
I agree with so many others who have left comments... Kristi’s review of Panama and the Panama Relocation Tours is THE BEST!!! It is honest, comprehensive, sincere, clear, thorough, and highly informative. Kristi, I wish you the very best. Thank you so much for sharing your experiences,
In the USA when she fell, people would have been busy making a video and posting on social media instead of helping.
Omg!! You are sooo right!! I've see it myself. Nope in Panama we still human thx God for that.
@@miar.4507 Yes, thank God for that!🙏
Not my experience...in the USA she would have received help.
@@jimeckland By the ambulance.
Thanks SO much!
what a concept-real and warm people
When being black is not a favorable position to be in inside the USA was a very powerful and true statement. I am so happy for her.
We understand; others might not.
I don’t see how they couldn’t.
+Angelina - It’s not a feeling it’s a fact. She made the statement and left America. I’m right behind her.

God bless you🙏🏾
Over 70?... Naw...!!! What great shape you're in 'Grandma'!
Krstl has the most beautiful complexion - because of the natural products she makes and uses.
@@PanamaRelocationTours I still think she has discovered 'Ponce de Leon' somewhere in beautiful Panama!
@@PanamaRelocationTours Blessings to all.
Thanks for watching!
I wish I were there when you fell to pick you up and take you to the hospital. You brought tears to my eyes when you were telling your story. By the way your place a breath taking.
Thank you, thank you. You have given me a lot more confidence to pursue my own Panama relocation plan.
Thank you! This was very informative! Continued blessings to you.
Glad it was helpful!
Krstl, loved your story. I'd love to meet you when I get there.
Such a great interview, loved her advice regarding best times to look for a long term rental. Will be taking the April tour, so looking forward to it!
Give insight after tour.
Prayer and tea! You can't wrong there! Bless you, sister!
Much respect to you. Great move. Proud of you.
God bless you! I love the brave approach to starting over after doing your own research and making the big move. I am also considering Panama after living in Las Vegas for the past 14 years. You are an inspiration😇
One of the best interviews I've seen about Boquete, Panama. Jackie and Krstl, thanks to both of you.
THIS LADY IS GORGEOUS 😍
GOD BLESS HER 🙏
Makes me sad you feel like you were treated like this in the us, but happy you found a great place to just be you :)
This experience sounds amazing. I'm no where near retirement age but I love the way she described the atmosphere.
Lovely, interesting video Krstl. You have a winning personality that I am sure people love wherever you go.
This lady is so delightful; really enjoyed listening to her experiences! Thank you. ^_^
wow, in all the years you've lived you now feel like a person. Enough said! That's amazing. So sad our color, gender, age dictates who a person is treated. The richest country in the world has a lot to learn from others around the world.
Thank you so much for sharing your experience. I was impressed by the way you explained how you are treated. That is so important.
Blessings to you 🌻
Be happy ,be safe and live life to the fullest.
Bless your heart. Happy for you that you feel so accepted….as you should be ❤️🙏🏻
I lived in Panama 3 years in my early 20 s. The ppl there are very family oriented, loving and caring! I was thinking bout moving back as my home!
Kristi,
Your You Tube departure from America is totally
understood and I can share your desires to re-
invent life after 70 as my
age over shadows your 72 years of wisdom by 8
years. "Bravo, your open bravery has allowed you to choose wisely:"
Were it not for being exposed to an herbicide
product pump sprayed on
poison oak/ivy, sawtooth briars & other wildly growing weeds/tall grasses, we might be next
door neighbors as I intend to see my plans
through to make Boquete'
my final "casa bonita".
II have made plans to do a two (2) week search and exploratory Boquete'
& Volcan' rental property
caravan with intent to sign a minimum six(6)
month lease until moving
several months afterward
leaving my native born USA in the rear view mirror.
All my immediate family
think I have lost "all of my
marbles" but I have spoken to my "Father In
Heaven and WE are on the same page of Our Bible". I'm going for IT in
"Ever So Sweet Panama"!
This was so helpful and I love Krstl's home.
Great to hear your testimony, I herd lots of negative about Panama but hearing you now I understand that it was all a lies . Thank you
I see you as a beautiful human being, warm and caring. Thank you for your time and input.
There are several Central American places I want to visit but Boqueté is my #1 place to see.
