- It’s the 20th anniversary since the first ever LEGO Harry Potter sets released and there have been many expensive figures in that time. I wanted to find out what the most expensive ones are on Bricklink so here’s what I found.
All prices were calculated using Bricklink’s item average when grouped by currency. All prices are in USD and as of March 2021 listings.

I own half of them. The most expensive one is the glow in the dark Voldemort. I have to admit that I never would have dared to think that these figures would be so expensive. Great video Holly 👌🏻
I've still been trying to find that one for a good price. All I've seen is him going for 70 to 150

$117.46 for Trelawney! The new one is waaaaaaay more accurate, I mean I see why she would cost that much, but still!
Also why does she have a witch hat? I thought she was McGonatgall at first.
i think why she has a witch hat could be based off of the films concept art, since lego made it the year the film came out, not 100% sure tho
price per inch on the umbridge minifig is insane
I price checked the current prices for some of these minifigures now in September 2023 & the prices are DRASTICALLY different. Some of these are half price now like Trelawney is ~$40 & the Ollivander is like ~$30. Glow in the dark translucent head Voldemort is still $90 - $100 though.

Hmm the prices seem off - item average for listings probably isn't the best thing to look at because some sellers list figures for insane prices that no one actually buys them for. For example, I got that Bellatrix minifigure in mid 2020 for like $20 USD.

Thanks for doing this research! I was just in the process of dusting/cleaning/organizing my old 2011 HP sets & I actually watched this and wrote down the minifigs I have & their current $.... I *finally* was able to get the 2020 Diagon Alley set last week- and I’m with you on the Ollivander minifig from the micro scale set- holy crap. So I missed out on that promo, the buckbeak & hagrid brickheads, yet I have more monster book of monsters than I care to count- which I’m not complaining about by any means, bc I wanted that set from the moment it was rumored, I guess I may have just wished a little too much for it, bc the universe responded and now I don’t even know what to do with them. Keep up the great work, you’re kicking serious ass!

I have Fred and George, Sand Red Lockhart, Death-Eater Lucius, OG Peter Pettigrew, Werewolf Lupin and Glow-in-the-Dark Voldemort. Never would have guessed that I had a small fortune!

This is the first time I actually own something rare and know about it before losing/selling it haha. So glad I got the castle in 2007 and for some reason have the old Gilderoy Lockhart as well.
I have 2004 wolf head lupin minifigure! I just got him yesterday with the shrieking shack set I bought off eBay! It is cool considering it’s the only wolf version of lupin we’ve ever gotten!

@@jackbyrne6044 She was looking at average listing prices, which isn't the best because some sellers list figures that no one buys for crazy prices, which would drive up the average. Better number to look at would be average sale price over the past 3 months or so.

I'm not sure if I have the heart to sell any of these figures (except maybe one of my Hermiones), even though I could make a lot of money off of them. I had no idea they were worth that much!

I've been to a Bricks and Mini-figs! I traded in a lot of stuff once to get a UCS Slave One for only $185. :D

Let’s state the fact that the original Umbridge has a much better face and hair than any of the newer versions, not to mention the “old” ones (face and hair) look so much more accurate 🤷🏻♂️
If we could combine that with the 2018 bricktober pack’s torso and legs - the PERFECT Umbridge minifigure 👏🏻

Luckily most of these figures have gone down in value in the two years since this video released. As far as I've seen 2005 voldemort with transparent head is the most expensive at around 70
The pink dumbledore one surprised me. I just bought him off ebay for like $15... I guess his price has gone down quite a bit

how and where I need it, I used the average lot prices on the price guide section to work it out as I fine sometimes there will be a really cheap or really expensive outlier

Lol right? I have 4- I’m glad I spent hours over this past weekend bagging the minifigs & dusting & cleaning/parting out my 2011 wave- I’m not done yet but yeah.. it’s something to definitely look into.

I’m a TFOL currently but got into LEGO when I was probobly 5 or something and was given all his legos as he was a kid and I think he got a few sets as an adult and I know I have the glow in the dark Voldemort head somewhere
bruh one of the employees at my lego store gave me the gwp ollivander because i came in full robes and all for release day once and i didnt get that gwp so i was like o cool and now hes in a chessex dice container. srsly just use poster putty or glue or something and glue one of the cmf stands to the bottom of a chessex dice container it is a very good way to display minifigures.

A bit late on this but could you maybe do one of these on the top 20 most expensive star wars figures? The other day I was on bricklink and I looked at k-2S0 and his cheapest was like $29 and the most expensive of him I saw was around $4,200, which is crazy but it's good I own him, I also have the phase 2 rex

Those old figures are ruff, pre 2012, woof. There are a few that are great. I have almost all the figs since then and thought about completing the collection but I just can't. I wish for a few more updates though.

Great video. I'm a fan of list videos like this. I'm a casual Harry Potter/Harry Potter LEGO fan, but my youngest sister has been a huge fan since the books and I got her the whole first wave of Harry Potter LEGO sets for Christmas the year it came out (any many since). I'm more curious to know which figures she has from this list, but happy to know that I have a few from lucky deals I've scored.
#2 - I was ordering a lot of LEGO when that promo Diagon Alley set came out and ended up with three of them, one I gave my youngest sister for Christmas that year. I had the other two unopened in my collection. I gave the other extra to my other younger sister this past Christmas, who has gotten heavily back into LEGO the past few years and is also a pretty big HP fan.
I also scored the Rescue from Merpeople set in a used tub of LEGO last year. I really liked that movie/scene myself and am going to hold onto it for awhile, then I'll give it to my youngest sister for her collection at some point.
I also scored the original Chambers of Secrets sets in sealed bags in a thrift store haul a couple/few years ago. My youngest sister has that set already, so at least for now I'm keeping it for myself.
I can't remember if there were any more that I had, but having at least 4, including the #2 still sealed in the box makes me happy. Now I'm going to send this to my sister to see how many of these figures she has or which ones she's missing.

Bruh I accidentally got that Olivander. I don’t even like LEGO Harry Potter and I was just buying the bucket wheel excavator back in the day. I don’t think he’s worth quite a hundred bucks, but he’s still pretty expensive.

1 week ago, ı bought 2004 Sybill Trelawney figure without her pink hat and 3 rare parts from 2004 hogwarts castle set just for 10$. I was so lucky
I cant lie, with the resurgence of lego harry potter, so many of these values have dropped, trelawney can be picked up for less than 40 now and you can get the whole final duel set for cheaper than you labelled glow in the dark voldemort right now, the older sets have lost alot of value, the only one that seems to have held its value is the 2007 hogwarts castle which remains valuable

I probably had the Peter Pettigrew figure (no. 11) as well as the Remus Lupin one (no. 10) but must've lost both as a child, pretty sad since I started collecting again a week ago.. x) I own Bellatrix LeStrange tho!
My DREAM set is the 2007 hogwarts castle! I have been after it for so long and they are so hard to find now even on eBay and all the ones I have seen are £500+ so yeah don’t think it is happening any time soon 😂😂

Well, no. I'm missing some of the most expensive models, like Olivander. I also don't have set 5378 Hogwarts Castle and 4756 Shrieking Shack. But all the rest I do own.
I did purchase Prof Trelawney this year when I bought the whole set. She is worth more than half of what I paid.

The #6/#3 Voldemort has 3 or 4 Versions. 3 different Heads are around. One version has two different cape versions as well. So 3 if you only look at the heads, 4 when you include the capes 😅 Number 3 is so expensive because it's only available at one seller (others may not realize that there is more than one version of that fig) who sells all his figures in ridiculous expensive prices.
P.s. have all of them. So I'm technically rich 🤣
I just casually have the mini Diagon Alley sitting on a shelf, and the fact that the minifig that came with it is worth over $100 is the reason I’m cleaning out my closet (I wasn’t exactly super respectful when it came to storing my Lego sets and just stuck them wherever on the occasion they weren’t disassembled the next month. I regret that now)
