an earthquake and tony says "get in the elevator" wow so intelectual
He was too focused on the power of his bunker, forgot that everything else also matters during a disaster. No wonder Reed said he felt less smart after Tony shared his intelligence.
He didnt die here btw
This is an alternate an universe and as far as I knew he died there. Are you sure?
@Lu1zF3l1pe yeah so if I'm not mistaken. This was the alternate universe where like some cyborg celestial was in the center of the planet.
The thing, doctor strange, invisible woman, vision and I think one more teleported to the core of the planet to see if they could punch it until it died. It didn't work.
When doctor strange realized everyone was gonna die. He opened a portal to another universe that had a constant emp going off on it. He died before he could close the portal.
That emp is what was affecting pepper and stark tower. Along with iron man's suit and the rest of the world. Hence why the plain fell at the same time as Tony
@@holli4447 but what happened to Tony?
@@holli4447 do you know what seems shitty on this story? Iron Man armors in the comics are EMP proof. Well this isn't 616 in anyway
@@Lu1zF3l1pe He just kinda got messed up along with the rest of the population lol. Everyone had it bad but strangely most everyone (important characters not civilians) survived
Earthquake, "get in the elevator". Armor is shutting down, doesn't land on the nearest rooftop. Not so smart.
Surprised no one's acknowledged this yet but exactly HOW THE HELL DID HIS LEG COME OFF?
Tony's been through hell and back throughout the comics, survived impossible odds, gone toe-to-toe with gods and so so much more I can't even think of and you expect me to believe his armor shatter upon impact with something as fragile as an airplane?
What, was his armor made in China or smth?
Yep, that was weird.
My best guess is that he was descending fast enough that when his ankle got caught on something, it tore, along with the armor. Maybe this wasn’t a top-brass sort of armor. Idk
In my head, most of iron man's durability comes from a ton of shields that come from a power source so maybe that was it?
@Teleported and @Pharaoh, maybe your both correct.
But, it still feels weird.
Remember in the first Ironman movie, When Ironman went to rescue those people from the terrorists, he had no shields ( you could see those scratches from the Bullet impacts).
Then, he got shot in the face, by a TANK SHELL, BY A FREAKIN TANK SHELL....... right in the face! But his armor was still intact.
Then he collided with a F22 Fighter plane, The F22 Was destroyed, but the Armor was still intact.
And here, His leg cuts off plus the Helmet got broken.
@@ghostxp5167 ya most comic writers seem to go with the rule of cool which opens itself up to a lot of fridge thoughts
Every armor, no matter what durable material is used in its manufacturing process, has a shear strength. When the applied force is more than the shear strength, the molecular bonds collapse. There was a failed Boeing 747 at Mach 1 and Tony's failed suit at Mach 5, making the impact at a staggering Mach 6 (I'm not calculating the force, I'm lazy). No wonder Tony's leg was cut off! 😢
Edit: My brethrens, metal is metal, be it in real world or comic book. The tensile integrity fails due to the shape of that metal plate and the angle of impact. You know how Tony's leg-guard is shaped like, kinda inward or concaved. Plus, a lot of the suit's integrity was maintained by Jervis AI, which was shut down due to electric failure all across the globe in this case! Not to mention the servos and hydraulics in every joint of his suit. When hydraulics are failed, you should count on God. Some people are talking about the helmet taking a direct hit from a tank shell. Don't forget, the helmet is literally built like egg-shell. That's why The Hulk could force open the front part to save Tony when he fell down from the sky in the Avengers 1 movie.
You mean this suit here, is too weak even against a plane? While the Mach 3, in the Ironman movie, was able stay intact, even after getting hit in the face, by a tank shell?
@@ghostxp5167In this version, apparently so.
@@noimsquidward7327 Nvidia RTX 9090
No. The real point is this is comics, not real life. And by comic logic, it's stupid to have Iron man's leg get ripped off by a plane.
His armor, whatever SHEAR STRENGTH you want to give it, has been shown to be much stronger and more durable than this. It has proved so time and time again by withstanding far greater damage from far more powerful sources.
And I'm not talking about some fancy uber-upgraded version of the suit either. I'm talking about base Iron man.
This should not have happened. It's just bad.
Things always get a little screwy when you try applying real world physics to superhero stuff. I Tony's armor is capable of keeping the Hulk from turning him into (canned) spaghetti sauce with a single hit, then it should be able resist this much, unless this particular Iron Man suit just happened to be way weaker than the rest of them.
his leg cutting off was pure bs so much for invincible
Facts. That armor has endured some cataclysmic stuff, and an airplane cuts off his leg?
Somebody was smoking something making this comic.
Yeah I have dude in the first comment talking about "Shear strength" like Iron man is a real thing that follows actual physics. As if Iron Man hasn't tanked worse blows straight to the face in defiance of real life physics all the time.
It's a comic. And in the comic world he's from, it's super dumb for him to get his leg cut off by a plane.
@@ChristianChavarria-zo7fq exactly fam.
@@dezaina9961his armor is only useful if powered , I know it still maintains it's durability but it loses its, so that would probably make it break easier , there's also weak spots in the joints of his suits so he can move properly , and hes still only human, not to mention his armor isn't invincible it's got crashed plenty of times in the comics
Hey, whose idea was it to let the Iron Man writers sit with Spiderman writers at lunch time huh?!!
We're going to need the entire story
not sure if anyone else has noticed this but this guy telegraphs when characters are about to speak way too much, like "iron man says ___"
This was a dark day in the world. 😢🎉
If I'm correct, this is the story where they fought that robot in the earth's core.
It's funny you post this on Robert Downey Jr.'s birthday. Was that intentional?
Which issue is this?
Marvel Dark Ages
This is somehow unheroic, stupid way to die, especially if we talk about such a genius hero as him. Disappointing is the good word to this and I say it while I respect Tony as a hero and inventor.
He’s not dead
Tony is a villain in the comics lol.
@@Based_Gigachad_001 Not in every comic run
@@thejokeexplainer2800 really?
@@Based_Gigachad_001You never read a fuckin comic did you?
Everyone keeps saying this is from dark ages, but I've read it twice and this scene isn't even in it. It's not even the same artstyle.
Is it supposed to be a tie in?
Am glad his death i ln endgame was better 🎉😊

@@gazbaz2684how do you know? You know this is an alternate universe right?
@@Lu1zF3l1pe cuz this is from the marvel Dark Ages story event and you can see Tony still alive and old.
