About 6 months ago, it was all over social media that none of the female reactors have watched the Fast and the Furious movies which is kind of dumb. Because now there's 10 of them so, it's an easy quick 10 bits to make money on and slowly but surely every female reactor I follow is now watching them. it was all over social media

Blu keeps reacting to movies and she might become my favorite movie reactor.
I hope she keeps doing this. The way she watches a good portion then pauses to give her reaction on what she saw is a great way for us to feel like she is not going to miss anything.
It was gratifying to see that she didn't miss anything about the movie. Pauses at the right moments and few dialogues in the middle of the film.
The speech Dom gives Brian about his fathers death gets me every time because its damn near exactly how Paul Walker died with his friends son running to the car on fire tryin to pull out his dad .

I was 11 years old turning 12 and I just finished my last year in primary school when the movie came out in 2001 and my dad took me the see it, one of my favourite memories of my dad as he passed away due to Covid-19 in '22

Man, I miss the early vibe of the F&F movies. Crazy that these have been out for over 20 years now, I remember watching this first one with classmates in my high school auto days and loving the first few in the franchise as they came out.
I really enjoyed what you had to say and I loved your reactions. I have the 4K 8 movie collection. This is one of my favorites. I always enjoyed that's all not about just fast cars. The stories and awesome action are fantastic.

i was a kid when this came out, but even I am surprised to see floppy drives. Compact Disc was the mainstream thing, so I think they were just having it as a throwback for the film.

That and TV's with built in DVD players (a bad idea if either one happened to break). Obviously they had to use something appropriate top the day it was made (2001?). They couldn't steal unobtanium or something. Tho for story purposes it would have made more sense to steal money as that does not age as fast as technology.

The oldest one I've watched was 2 Fast 2 Furious and I think I still have the VHS tape.

Doesn't matter if you win by a inch or a mile... winning is winning.... real facts, unless racers start giving out participation trophies or money for that matter... I can see blu being a street racer.. she can team up with Emilia Hartford... Blu looks angelic with either long hair or shoulder length hair... also side note... if you ever been in a car with NOS activated... it is basically like tunnel vision... gives you the craziest adrenaline rush that your body and mind is not used too.. so those special effects is as close as you can get if NOS was actually used, but obviously it wasn't, just a prop like anything else in the movie... what hits me the most.. is when Dom said "he watched his dad burn to death"... my dad didn't die from being burned, it was actually complications due to a heart transplant surgery, but I had to by religion cremate my own father in the United States... legally its allowed by religious laws...I had to sit, watch and wait till his body turned to ash... I was 15 at the time.. im 34 now.. remembering putting his body in the crematorium, closing the doors, flipping up two toggle switches and hitting the green button... the hardest situation I ever been in my life

Ngl, this is the last movie in the world I'd ever expect blu to be interested in watching. Also as much as I love cars and this movie, the scene with the 98/99 R1 just before they shoot up the eclipse is my fave! such a nice bike, mine scares the shite outta me still to this day...

I got to watch this at a drive-in movie theater.
Thee light speed effect I think you're talking about does actually happen in a high powered turbo car or car with nitrous. When the boost kicks in you kind of get tunnel vision. It's a strange phenomenon and they actually kind of depicted it well with the visual effects.
One of my favorite films, great watch. 👍 After the fourth film they really start to go to 💩, would not recommend but the first is still by far the best!

This was 2001. 23 years isn't that old😂. It was just funny that you kept keying in on how old things were in the movie! 😂
For your first film reaction, I'd say you did well. The Fast and The Furious is an interesting choice to start with, but it was a cool reminder of how good the older ones are in this series.

This saga has ups and downs but in popular opinion the third installment is the best (I have to agree) and the last one that deals with street racing before becoming a pure action saga.
