Honestly, they could literally explain away all of Dan's buffs as him just, like, slowly getting better at martial arts over time. Like, even if he isn't learning new techniques, he's still practicing his existing ones.
Also, I would fully support the concept of Capcom releasing an "Evil Dan" similar to Evil Ryu. And making said character literally just be Dan but with the Shun Goku Satsu/Raging Demon. Except with a really short range and if he whiffs it, he trips and falls face first into the dirt.
EDIT: Make Evil Dan's Shun Goku Satsu still have active frames as he's tripping and falling onto his face. This has the added benefits of additional mind games, a slight reach extension from what would be obvious (possibly even more than the normal Raging Demon if the glide distance before the trip is less than one Dan shorter than normal) and the opportunity for an alternate animation if he lands the move during the trip. I don't know if that alternate animation should be Dan bumbling his way into accidentally doing the whole thing or if it should be the Satsui no Hado enabling him to do a drunken fist-esque version of the Shun Goku Satsu. Mostly because I'm not sure which would be funnier.

I see a lot of people crying Dan does bad damage, but I'm also seeing him confirm into near 30% or more combos off pressure strings. He also builds mad gray life damage on the heavy cancel strings. Maybe I just play bad characters that don't get free 370 damage on every confirm.

I feel like I have to get really good at games in order to just chill while playing. I learn a lot from watching you, not just with how to play SfV either.
The way to the zen is through the Training Mode Purgatory. Thousands of hours of practicing with one or two characters means playing like that. I'm still a stinking casual just getting discouraged after a few hundred hours, so I still got a long way to go, haha.

I would like to see a tournament for each individual characters....Call it the Mirror of Champions. Every weekend there could be a small tournament for each character. I would like to see who is the best in competition of each character. The winners could officially be crowed the Lineal best of their character regardless of SFV rank. Since I am a Balrog Fan Smug Vs Brian F would be the highlight of that tournament. Then again we might see some play styles we are not accustomed to seeing on a daily basis.

Can you make a vid talking about the difference in damage when punishing with crush counter combo rather than a normal combo? And how do I know which one to use?
I think the main reason why he says not to do a crush counter there is because combos that start with an aerial usually do more damage. Also, it is really easy to punish an DP with an aerial because there are so many recovery frames. If you time your normal jump, you can pretty much on any character get a heavy aerial kick or punch. I'm not sure if i'm entirely correct but I think that is the main gist of it.
It's situational. If you want to optimize your following combo, a jump punish is the way to go. Crush counter combos are definitely easier though. They give you a swift and violent counter-attack(though with some annoying damage scaling that I don't think should be there, but you also get extra stun so I guess it's a worthy trade), and it also allows you to build v-meter. If your V-gauge gets maxed, that's an easy activation cancel into your favorite CA combo via Trigger.

I fought Dan twice online two different players I only took a match against one of them. Dan has a lot of annoying tools ways to counter and cancel good recovery on his normals even on block or whiff. If someone gets in their flow they can be hard to deal with. This is definitely Dan’s best iteration. I’m not buying him not yet I’m having fun playing Gill but he’s a great character
