Same here. Judging by those highlights it must have been an awful fight. Yarde barely landed so I'm not surprised he lost to a good jab from start to finish from Arthur. They were pretty much the only shots landed that I could see on these highlights.

That describes Yarde's team to a letter. I must have hit the replay about 10x when the announcer said lyndon won. The way Anthony's face dropped had me in stitches 🤣 Legend has it, he still has his arms raised.
Post Presser I did same thing as I could not understand what he was chanting, tough one to decipher his accent when upset.

I give these guys credit. Never seen 2 fighters soo damn tense and tightened up the whole fight . How did they do 12 rounds like that without burning out? Spring loaded the whole fight
The fact yardes corner was not telling him to switch up his style and game plan when it wasn’t working really shows the lack of boxing knowledge in that corner, his loyalty to his trainer could cost Anthony a successful career

They told him to let his hands go to be fair. He didn't do that until round 11/12. Way too late. Looked like he was afraid of emptying himself out again like he did against Kovalev. He was terrible, nothing more to say really. That performance was British level, nothing more nothing less.
I watched the fight on BT and they went to Yarde's corner.
Tunde had picked up that Arthur seemed reluctant to throw the right and that he might be injured, telling Yarde this - the commentators had noticed too. To be honest, Yarde didnt do enough with that information.

@@eon001 It is a footwork issue, he does not have the footwork or cutting the ring down skills to capitalise on his power and physique, his cardio was actually quite good.

Prolly needs to shead some of that muscle and learn how to stalk down his opponents and shorten the distance. Getting jabbed to pieces barely ever mounting an affective offense isnt serving him well.

Normally I would like to watch the whole fight but I'll give this cut version the benefit of the doubt. There is no way Yarde could have got that score with that poor performance and let me not take anything away from Arthur with a good performance overall.

Arthur schooled Yarde with the jab and in the US Spence outworked Danny with the jab. Joyce stopped Dubois with the jab too. 2020 is the year of the jab.
Good decision. Yards was outboxed for most of the fight. Arthur has a slick, fast jab, and great spatial awareness, he boxed Yardes head off with his jab, for the first 5 rounds. Will follow Arthur’s career from now onwards.
Looked like all that herky jerky stuff Arthur was doing was making Yarde hesitate to throw. Like what Fury did with Wlad and Wilder in the first fight.
Yarde needs to get trainer to teach him how to cut the ring instead of this guy making him follow him in circles and tire him out he looked way off
This fake mayweather style doesnt work for a guy without very fast feet and short arms. Plus they do not have the actual boxing IQ. Tunde did OK but he is not as good a trainer as he thinks. Yarde isnt going to become a top LHW. He could start by losing that weightlifters upper body.

Never followed Lyndon Arthur before this fight I've always followed Yarde. What a cool and humble guy Arthur is, so calm and relaxed and very respectful. Hope he gets bigger fights he deserves it. I also hope Yarde bounces back from this, still a massive fan he is full of potential.
