Jenson really took the "if you no longer go for a gap that exists" mentality to his driving test lol
I almost failed my driving test for 'not seizing a gap' at a roundabout when there was space to go, so it technically applies lol
@@plebiusjonbson823 in India we definitely take the gaps that exists even if its on the other side
And so did the go kart that hit his nads
Jenson is a legend for calling Nico Britney
Facts 😂
How come people call him Britney anyway?
@@mcguire2038 Blonde hair and a bit of sexist banter comparing him to a girl innit
The first one to call him Britney was actually Mark Webber
@@plebiusjonbson823 The joke actually came from Mark Webber when Rosberg crashed at the 2006 Brazilian Grand Prix and Mark exclaimed over the Radio "Brittney's in the wall". While the nickname came from him having blonde hair, I doubt it came from him "being girly", just a nickname at the long blonde hair he had
This interviewer is the best hire Sky Sports has made in years. Genuine, relatable, authentic. Absolutely smashed it in multiple interviews I’ve watched so far. Fair play lad
Wait till he has to deal with Abu Dhabi and he tows the money line like the rest of them...
It’s Joe thomlinson, he’s a football journalist and has minimal f1 knowledge but he’s definitely really good
Absolutely smashed reading from a cue card what a legend 😂😂
I mean, what?
That’s joe thomlinson from football daily
Agreed, very well spoken.
"Jos was ... you didn't want to get him upset." Understatement of the year by Jenson, especially after Jos' domestic abuse charges.
The man is a dangerous criminal.
His apple didn't fall far from the tree either.
Does anyone else notice that Gunther and Max look so much alike apart from age

Jenson exposing Villeneuve and Rosberg for peeing in their cars 😂
The amount of respect for Prost, Senna and Barrichello... I mean... Just amazing. Such a humble guy. Such an amazing interview.
The fact that he so quickly said max is pretty mad. Verstappen is truly a phenomenon.
kimi is better
Max will be the greatest ever
@@Grimbo992 lol nope im not even going to say Michael or Lewis but you see the drivers in the 80s and 90s he can never compare to them
@@bertilsten6432 in his prime kimi was arguably the fastest driver of all time but out of his prime i think max is better and max hasn’t even hit his prime
@@Grimbo992 yeah... no
Jenson will always be my favourite F1 driver... I really wish he was still in it. He seems like such a nice and down to earth person.
The interviewer was really great!
He's usually a football reporter. I'm surprised to see him in f1
"Kimi is sitting down in my living room"
I just wanted to hear rest of the story.
I pretty sure the rest of that story is Kimi just sneaking into his apartment and drunk Kimi is (not sure on this bit) nearly naked on his couch
@@deanos3620 is there full story?
@@deanos3620 I couldn't find, can you help me
@@berkc06 I’m sorry man, I truly thought it was thst podcast, I have heard it some where , apologises
@@deanos3620 no problem man:(
This is the first time I've watched anything with this interviewer and just have to say he is fantastic! He seems pretty young but appeared to know and understand Jenson's references to past races and drivers. He kept the interview fun, interesting and really entertaining and didn't interrupt Jenson but managed to get his questions into the conversation naturally. Whoever he is, he is excellent and could teach a lot of interviewers, channels and podcasts how to perform an interview correctly! Great work 🤘😀
Loving how casual and lengthy this is instead of a really stiff pointless 4 minute video.
Jenson has always been one of my favourite people in the sport ❤️
Came for the title, stayed for the great interview. Both of them were really lovely !
Aw man, hearing Jenson talking about his dad being bad with his balance whilst drunk is sad, given how he passed.
did his dad die in a 'unnatural' way?
heartbreaking man thats for sure
also I won't hit 'like' as it stands right now at 22....

@@johnluujl Thanks John, I must have missed that one!
Have to give it to Joe, for someone that probably doesn’t follow F1 at all in his spare time he is definitely very professional and does get a bit more involved in the interview than just asking questions. Fair play.

I miss Jenson from F1.
There is something sincere/real/decent about him.
But he is no pushover.
☮
I rewatched Canada 2011 GP a few weeks ago... such a good race.
That has to be THE best race from Jenson ever! One of the longest races too! His driving was sublime, Jenson at his finest! I may have lost my voice after that race 🤐
@@bluedeva Yeah I was going to add the whole race was 4 nearly 5 hours I think? I watched it live myself as well.
It's what created the rule of how long races can be if I recall correctly.
It's definitely my favourite race of all time. Why I always rewatch it before a season to hype myself up.
Jenson! One of my favorite drivers. Love to hear his thoughts in race weekends ❤️
I agree with the Lando contract thing. Watching the first race and Mclaren. I fear Mclaren is gonna be uncompetitive for a couple of years. I fear that he made a mistake there with such a long contract. And with Lewis soon to retire. I bet you Lando would love that seat.
Lando's contract most likely includes a performance cause (like many driver contracts) which would enable Lando to move to a different team if he wanted to if the team was perfoming badly
@@jenniferwilson2846 But Jenson made a good point. Why so long? If the team does well then stay if not you should have an easier option if offers come from teams like Mercedes
But what other options does he have? Ferrari has Leclerc, Merc has Russell, RB has Max.
@@Bluehoshiflower Im not saying he should't stay with Mclaren. I just would't sign a 4 year contract
Maybe Lando figured out that future Driver Contracts would be price capped in some way, so that left him in charge of his decisions ...
Who´s the interviewer? He smashed it! Such a likeable guy, keep it going!!!
Joe Thomlinson . he works for football chanel, called football daily
Jenson is one of the most respectful and humble drivers out there
Jenson is just absolute class. I really miss him being on the grid, however I think he retired at the right time. A lot of the current grid could learn from the way Jenson carries himself.
I love the way the journalist conducted this interview! Especially considering he isn't mainly focusing on F1 (as far as I'm aware). Big up!
Jenson has a great personality among other racing drivers. You hardly hear him criticize other drivers, he is nice a chap.
Fantastic video keep it up your doing amazing job
This gentleman is an absolute legend! :))
I enjoyed the interview. Really good.
Thanks much enjoyed always time for JB ♥️
Great stuff. Good job
Jenson is always good value - he seems to be the quintessential English "good bloke". Much respect.
Always a pleasure to see Gentleman Jenson.
Seems like easily the nicest guy to have ever been on the grid.
i honestly love jenson, because he's one of the last few F1 drivers that were no-nonsense, while also not being overly serious. he'd probably be a fun guy to hang out with.
5:54 "if you no longer go for a gap that exist, then you no longer racing driver" 😂
I love Jenson, he is such a nice guy and talented driver.
We love Button ❤️❤️❤️
what a legend!
clearly recorded before this weekend. Not one mention of Ferrari but that's quite standard for Sky F1. Jenson comes across as a top bloke though!
Jrnson is soo gooood
I always watch the football interviews but F1 interviews!!!! We need more
Jenson and Mika hakkinen. My 2 absolute favorite f1 drivers
You can definitely date this interview.
This ginger ninja is a hero
I like Jenson smile😊
Want him to come back lol my hero.
Alonso : Jensen my frnd you are a legend!
Man JB looks so good
Love jenson!
My Hero
I have enjoy looking Questions and Answers of history of F1 sport to see his know about he career Jenson Button and other drivers history.
I was waiting for Jensen to say he would give the kid an hour or two of instruction for his driving exam
If Nico really said that , he is a true sportsman. 👍
This video was obviously recorded before the first race of the season. Mercs are why off pace. It's going to be between a Ferrari or Red Bull driver for the championship this season.
I like jenson
watching this interview 7 races in is ... interesting lets say
Gotta love JB
We can ask him anythinK. KOOL!
Lewis and George. Deffo recorded before season started haha
How is a suit jacket hoodie a thing and where do I get one?
Please tell me Joe is a long time F1 fan
Fair play to Joe, great presenter, always has been!
Jenson should know: all the time you have to leave the space 😂
Back when I was racing karts we wore open face helmets. I got hit an put into the wall while trying to box. My body moved forward and my face hit the steering wheel which knocked out and broke 12 of my teeth. That was pretty bad.
Jenson had no drink before Kimi.😂
I wonder who he thinks is going to win now 😂
Best British champion of the last 20 years. Don't @ me.
Meanwhile Max sings a 7 year contract
Suzuka is the most unique racetrack ever
i always thought its a running gag because each driver has his own seat so he cant pee into alonsos seat (while driving in the car).
"Yenson my friend"
Britneys in the wall - Mark Webber
Jenson's prediction didn't age very well....
Who is the presenter ?
No idea but I see him on Saturday social cuz I’m also a football fan, he’s really good ngl
Joe Thomlinson
Jomumsa minger
@6:45 100% Agree that if you fail more than twice you should give up taking ur license. An actual danger to release onto roads
wtf is this jacket ? xD
Ouch that championship prediction is looking very far off
when was this interview done ?? Probs before the season started cos there’s no way Lewis winning an 8th with the current situation
Happy to hear Button wouldn’t kill fish by choice. That would be terrible.
Letting someone else do the killing and paying them for it is far more humane.
MASSIVE PROPS for getting Zuckerburg to interview Yenson for this!
This must have been recorded before the start of the season lmao
3:17 is the reason why everyone is here.
I failed my driving test literally the exact same way. I had plenty of space for the gap (actually) but it was deemed unsafe. I suppose the instructors should err on the side with new drivers but still. Cmon!
How many f1 championships did button win??
just one in 2009
Does anyone have an idea of what blazer hoodie Jenson is wearing? I've been looking for one. This is exactly what I want!!
Hi jenson question is who's you're favourite teammate you've ever had
Hi
First person besides myself who rates Alain Prost! over Senna
+1
Jenson is still allways number 2
I passed on my 6th. Dont give up.
I thought Japan (or the race after Japan, not sure where of these two it happened) where he drove with a broken ankle
I hope Jenson makes it home alive by saying that max was the best current driver
I'd hate to hear of what Jenson thinks of Max's contract then
What about his contract?
I expected this to also not be available in India
His prediction has aged well..🙈
The Button-Hamilton partnership was a little bit like Senna and Prost, except Lewis was less aggressive, and Jenson slightly worse than Monsieur Alain (which is no slight on him. 99% of f1 drivers are).
The quick one and the smooth one. Jenson alwaysn seemed very laid back, and his driving stle too was very smooth. But come qualy and race, he held his own against an all-time great. Even beat him one season! Granted, Lewis had issues with his relationship and other stuff as well.
It was sad to see him struggle in those awful cars toward the end of his career. He won only one title, but it changed F1 forever!
Looks like Jos Butler (cricketer) no?
Lewis winning the WDC didn't age well!
Yes because things cant change with 2 races down and 21 to go at this moment in time.
When TF was this filmed? I don't think Jenson had seen the Merc on track yet...
