Egg Chilli Battle | Who Made it Better | New Series - Two Many Cooks

This is a new segment we thought we would try out. This was a result of a real conversation I had with my husband who thought his Chilli Egg is way better than mine. Let us know what you think. I know mine was better.
My Version:
5 eggs - boiled and quartered
1 cup all purpose flour
1 cup cornflour
1 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
Few drops of red colour
Water for the batter - use your best judgement
Oil for frying
1 tsp ginger garlic paste
1 medium sized onion diced
100g of capsicum diced
2 tsp sugar
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp MSG
1 tsp oyster sauce
2 tsp soy sauce
1 tbsp tomato ketchup
2 tsp vinegar
A few squirts of sriracha
4 tsp of cornflour slurry (2 tsp cornflour mixed with 4 tsp of water)
Sliced spring onion greens
Husband's Version
5 hard boiled eggs - quartered
3 tbsp Flour
1 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp baking powder
Water - enough to make the batter just right
Oil for frying
1 inch of ginger slices
5-6 cloves of chopped garlic
50g of sliced onions and capsicum
4-5 green chillies
1 tsp salt
1 tsp white pepper
1 tsp MSG
2 tsp vinegar
Spring onions for garnish

My vote for the pale but crispier version - true finger food , not a great fan of saucy food to go with a drink .
If I may , go easy on the MSG …. Both of you seem to be a fan of that .
