Very informative, thanks. I live in Canada and have known I need the non cosmetic correction for years. I actually had a conversation with a friend today, that as a nurse helps prep and sees it every day. I've never had a servery but talking with her made me comfortable going forward.

Years ago had my septum done. Less than 2 weeks having turbinates done, spreader graft and batten graft. I seriously can hardly wait to breathe easier

If I push up my nose like a pig I can breathe better. If I pull away on my cheeks like you did I can breathe a bit better. I was never told I had a deviated septum but I did have a septum piercing years ago and took it out. I now have Rhinitis and it causes severe chronic headaches and eye pain

Do not have turbinate surgery. Unless there is cancer present, there is never a good reason to operate on the turbinates. If your foot got swollen, you would not just get it cut off---you would look for the reason for the swelling. There are many reasons the turbinates get swollen and it is best to find out why. The turbinates are VERY important to the function of breathing. Do an internet search. They are surrounded by nerves that detect your airflow in your nose. If they are damaged, you can have trouble detecting your own breathing.

I did a brief Google search and for real, turbinates are not to be fucked with. "Significant loss to quality of life"? No thanks. I'll stick with the sleep apnea, thanks.
