  • www.carolinafacialplasticsurge... In this video, facial plastic surgeon in Charlotte Dr. Jonathan Kulbersh discusses how Botox can be used to treat facial synkinesis after an episode of Bell's palsy. Synkinesis often results in a downward pull of one side of the face, and Dr. Kulbersh can use cosmetic Botox injections to bring patients a more symmetrical smile to his patients.

Hi doc. For bell's palsy asymmetric smile, when placing in the DAO muscle- would you inject on the side that the lip is going down or the unaffected side where the lips go up?

I've had Bells Palsy for 6 months now and a doctor has recomended this treatment. I think i am still slowly recovering? Can botox injections help facilitite the recovery iteself, and aid in speeding up healing to a full recovery?

Hello doc I’ve been planning to have Botox , but afraid I might not get good results, Now I saw your video saying that it can help the smile to be in symmetry . 😭 I’m 11 months in and My smile isn’t symmetrical yet, I was thinking maybe Botox can help to just even lift the affected side of my face. 😭 Someone says it will only help go the synkinesis treatment and not the smile symmetry so I got depressed again , I hope I can hear from you I would really appreciate it😭
