Ironically, things like this are in most African culture as well. If you make them a cup of tea,best believe you have to go drop it off to wherever they are. And in my culture,you do it on your knees the way you sat down before them there.We kneel down as a sign of respect. Women kneel, men squat. And if you prepare food, you need to let them know you've prepared tge food. If you serve the food to them, you STILL have to tell them "I've prepared a meal for you" even though thats obvious and its sitting right in front of them. Like an invitation to start eating...Otherwise,people just stare at the food in front of them awkwardly if you don't inform them to eat 😂😂😂 its weird,but....its culture,weirdly enough. Otherwise,you'd be rude not to. Its annoying though i swear. And we also wear a wrapper to be respectful,but the wrappers are only for women. I love how both women and men there wear it.
