- WELCOME to my HOT TIPS for the BEST Drawing Settings in KRITA - Half Life Edition.
In between my animating, other works, game dev studies, and business acumen I wanted to relax and digitally draw Gordon Freeman from Half Life but... in my version!
I have always been a huge Half Life and Valve fan since their inception way back in the 90s.
"Yah shut up I'm old LOL!"
So, I have always wanted to draw him or other characters from the Valve franchise but my way.
Usually I draw traditionally first but, finding it very frustrating lately, I opened up my Trusty Krita and got started drawing Mr. Freeman.
For myself, it wasn't always more streamline to draw in Krita or to use a Digital Tablet.
So, I wanted to share some HOT TIPS with you Traditional Artists who want to learn Digital but are having troubles with the digital tablet ways of drawing.
As it doesn't feel like drawing with a pencil which throws many people off.
But, hopefully now my HOT TIPS for configuring your settings to better help you draw digitally, will help you out with that. 😉👍🏼

I will upload the Gordon Freeman Shading Time lapse video to follow this one, so that you can see the process. Then finally I will get to digitally painting Gordon and adding textures to him for my portfolio and will share a time-lapse video of that as well. 😁👌🏼

P.S.
My Traditional Short animation is still under way. Pain stakingly, drawing out, each frame.
But, I am dedicated to getting it completed and up on the channel soon as I can. The only thing that will be digital for this animated short will be the color. All the line art and frames are hand drawn on purpose to use for my demo reel.
Since yrs ago... my old school demo reel, was on a floppy disk, that is no longer readable. 😑

I've been coding a lot as well if you can tell by saying function all the time 😂 which are technically the backend description in code of how each element is coded for each program you use.
But.... Lol that's another topic & the good news is... I Finally get a new vid out for yah'll and excited to be making lots of Art.😅
Obviously Game Design and Game development have always been huge passions of mine it's actually the main reason I studied 2D Animation all them yrs ago.
Now to get into making my own games and now putting my Art skills to the max with character design homage practice to keep the good times flowing! 😁👌🏼
