The Gondola ride is really worth the ride and its FREE to do so. Going up to Mountain Village you look back over Telluride nestled deep within the valley of the San Juan Mountains towering over the town. When reaching the halfway mark you go through a gondola station at the highest point and then descend down towards Mountain Village again offering stunning views into the distance. From here you can even see an airport where the rich and famous fly in and out of.
