    This is a delightful video. I learned Obsession a few weeks ago at a small convention of friends. We fell right unto accents and when I purchased the tile which permitted Gossip-Mongering, the gloves came off. Since that play, I've gotten it to the virtual Gaming Table via BGA twice with two different groups of friends. Additionally, I purchased the game, along with the two expansions directly from the publisher. Dan and I have exchanged several e-mails over the past few days and I'm impressed by the customer service. Absolutely wonderful game!

    Excellent review. I love your passion for this game and just bought it based on your recommendation. Played it with my wife and son and we all loved it! Looking forward to acquiring expansions. In fact, we’re about to finish another game tonight. Perfect fit for my family.

    I love how good it is as a solo game as well. Ever since incorporating the Upstairs Downstairs expansion I don’t play without it. I even got my mum in to playing it with me and she hasn’t played much in the way of board games before!

    Really interested to know how inclusive this game is with regards character cards of BAME ladies and gentlemen?

    • @TabletopTolson
      @TabletopTolson  Před 3 lety +3

      It's not. The game follows the historical representation of the nearly 99% White personage in Victorian England (according to a turn of the century census).

    • @bighoopzrock
      @bighoopzrock Před 3 lety

      @@TabletopTolson just the 99%?! So there is at least 1% non-white?

    • @TabletopTolson
      @TabletopTolson  Před 3 lety +4

      @@bighoopzrock I don't know what you're asking of me here, but I enjoyed the game and I wanted to share it with others. I am not a historian nor do I expect every game to be for everyone for a variety of reasons.

    • @bighoopzrock
      @bighoopzrock Před 3 lety

      @@TabletopTolson sorry not sure how my reply came across but wasn’t meant to be antagonistic in any way. Just a follow up to you saying 99% of Victorian England is depicted as white - are ANY of the characters non-white in the game? It’s not even necessarily a criticism if they aren’t, I’m just interested in whether diversity has been attempted in any form with the characters used

    • @TabletopTolson
      @TabletopTolson  Před 3 lety +2

      @@bighoopzrock Yes, thanks for the clarification:) I just unpacked the Upstairs/Downstairs expansion and there are non-white characters in those new decks. I don't have the game on hand right now (away from home), but I will write later with the card(s).
