I like that Sam chose Dean over Amelia. And Dean chose Sam over Benny.
I actually don't like that sam left dean to rot in purgatory he didn't look for him his own brother how can someone be happy or even sleep at night knowing that u are leaving your brother with all kind of monsters alone just to be with a girl no matter who or how nuch she makes u happy dean should have chosen benny

What I didnt like about this is... in the very beginning when Sam went to Hell, Dean moved on, stopped hunting, got into a relationship and practically adopted a kid. But he had the nerve to be upset at Sam for doing basically same shit. I thought it was recycled, lazy writing. In fact they went back and forth with this sort of thing, with evil powerful Sam (super charged demon blood Sam), and then later evil powerful Dean (mark of Cain, Dean).

This was bitter sweet and further shows that Sam was always the sensible brother. He always thinks with his brain instead of his heart. Had he chose Amelia, he would've forever been in and out both the hunting business and the relationship, putting Amelia's life in danger like the way Lisa and Ben were almost killed by Crowley with Dean. Its selfish to leave everything up to his brother to fight all alone and want to live a fantasy with Amelia, even though he deserves it. And he got to live it for a year but when her husband came back into the picture it was time to snap back to reality. Gotta commend the writers, it makes you feel bad for Sam.
That’s the special thing about this show, they can do whatever storyline and since J2 are so good at acting they’ll nail it everytime. When the show ends they would have left a legacy that will be talked about for decades. There has not and will not ever be a show like supernatural ever again, and honestly that’s the biggest accomplishment. Im proud i got to be a long for the ride and im happy that this show gave me something to look foward too. Supernatural was and is the best show to come around in a very long time.

@@Winchester1589 Dean did something which Sam forced him to!the only thing he quit was hunting as Sam asked but not trying to find a way to save his brother from the cage!while Sam completely forgot him!and instead of apologizing,he forced Dean to chose one between him and Benny which was the worst thing!so leaving Amelia isn't heartbreaking at all!Sam can't force Dean to do what ever he wishes him to do,while he himself can do what ever he wants with Amelia and can leave Dean whenever he wants!
Cant tell if Dean was disappointed or happy that sam stayed...in episode Trial and Error dean told sam he wanted him to have an apple pie life (lol)
I think he was a little disappointed because Sam could've had what Dean had at one point but they both knew the risks of trying to live a happy life outside of hunting I mean look at what happened to Dean's girlfriend and adoptive son they got kidnapped by demons and held hostage and in the end he had to have cass wipe their memories
I think he was sad for Sam but happy for himself cause he gets to keep hunting with Sam. But he sees Sam becoming more like him, dedicated to this life instead of getting out. So both
You know you can find anyone to spend your life with. Hell, you can find the most perfect idea of what you'd want your life to be... and it would be meaningless. Cause even so, relationships fall apart... family, true family.... that's worth everything.

dude Amelia was the WORST. Her husband obviously went through a lot of shit, probably captured by the enemy which is why he was presumed dead. And when shes back together with Don, she STILL cheated on him with Sam, and even after, while in bed with him said she didnt want to hurt her husband, yet in the same sentence said Sam was all she thought about when she woke up and went to sleep. And she was totally ready to just dump her husband and everything they had for a guy she knows pretty much nothing about. i mean think about it from Dons perspective. clawing your way back home and coming back to this. i was hoping hed find out and leave her too. i hate chicks like that

They should have done the Cole storyline with her husband instead where he wants revenge on Sam because Amelia killed herself after finding an article about Sam being a serial killer and of course she would see the video where the fake dopplegangers massacred everyone in the bank. Then she would have found earlier stuff like the shapeshifter dean killing and the bank robbery.
No, no, no! That would reopen a can of worms that needed to stay shut! It's bad enough that we were subjected to that idiotic, poorly written Sam/Amelia romance storyline in the first place.

thank god I finished this storyline again!I chose a 400 episodes Telenovela over this!beside the choice which Dean made was so harder!Benny was the friend which saved his life over and over!Dean literally saw his life and felt the deep connection!about Andrea and Elizabeth and was clearly loyal to him!because he rather send Sam away than allowing them to fight and being forced to chose one!and Sam forced him to chose one!so it wasn't that much difficult!because unlike him,Dean didn't leave him only two choices and just said decide wisely!and by considering Dean's history with Lisa,her being in danger even after breaking up with Dean!while Dean could work and fight alongside with Benny forever without any intrusive or...!

And I'm not just saying that because I can't stand Amelia! (Where does she get off blaming Sam for *accidentally* hitting that dog? And where does she get off guilt-tripping him? And where does she get off cheating on her husband with Sam?! Ugh! Horrible, horrible woman!)
And it's also not just because I can't stand their idiotic, no-chemistry-whatsoever, poorly written relationship! I'm also not just saying it because Sam abandoned Dean to Purgatory just so he could "play house," with this annoying chick, either! (Can you tell that I hate Amelia and that idiotic relationship she had with Sam?)
It's because Dean is Sam's brother, who would go to Hell and back for Sam! (He even did!) We all know that if Sam had ended up in Purgatory, Dean would do whatever it took to find him. What did Sam do? Diddly squat! Well, other than feel sorry for himself. Then he got a dog and a girlfriend. Couldn't be bothered to look for Dean, though. Could he? Nope! He sacrificed his brother on the altar of a "normal life."
So yeah! Sam made the right choice.

That Sam didn't look for Dean was out of character tho. Even Jared Padalecki didn't like it. Most people have the headcanon he just thought he was dead.

Jared did too. He said he was pissed and went straight to the writers room and said "Sam would never leave Dean in purgatory. And Sam would never choose a normal life while Dean is still alive alone out there, hunting."
I really dislike this character, because even AFTER she found out her soldier husband was back from presumed death, and she was still married to him, she STILL slept with Sam, and would have dumped her war hero husband for Sam. That makes her an epic tramp, in my opinion.

@@deidara8227 Ruby was my least favorite girlfriend Sam had. She talked down to him, manipulated him, poisoned him with demon blood and got him addicted, and manipulated him to sleep with her when he was drunk (which is rape). I'm surprised Dean didn't kill her for raping Sam, but he was more upset about the demon blood. In my opinion, that's bad writing because sexual violence against men happens and the show treats it like guys should suck it up and let it go.
Exactly what I though too, not to talk about her very grumpy/rude personality. Such a difference from sweet Lisa per exmple.
Thats possibly why Sam chose to stay with Dean because he felt like the 3rd party. The homewrecker
