Isn't there any possibility to connect the return-path from the bypass-filter ?
Trying to figure out how people are running these 617's on a stand..mine came with hoses hanging off the oil filter which i assume go to a cooler..any ideas how to get around that so i can test run this thing? Think the cooler is necessary? Thanks!
Cooler 100% necessary. Bolt some plugs into the cooler ports. Then you can run it.

Noticed the name, you don't do WVO conversions do you? That's my intent with this swap.
@@sirridok the 617 isn't a good candidate for VWO
@@doomsdaydiesel there's an entire movement of WVO heads that use the 617 and swear by it. They've even got a kit they designed for it. Why do you say it's not a good choice?
