RIP.... Their lead level designer, Chris O'Neill (not to be confused with Oney) left the company a year ago. So they need a replacement for their replacement now. Yeah this game will never come out. Any thoughts of, oh I dunno, hiring former employees of RARE rather than Blizzard, Respawn, Naughty Dog and every other reputational flop of a major studio? Too many cooks in the kitchen. One studio does not need seven other studios. WHEN has that ever worked for Rockstar? Oh, and also Rockstar is working on it too. So. If you need an answer, look no further than the company releasing the same game 15 times in a 20-year-span only to let hackers nuke profiles with terrible security and support for their main moneymaker. Every game they've done in the past two decades has been left to rot or kept on life-support for as long as possible to penny-pinch. Their studios don't even play nice together, much less with outsourcing from each team they have. If you need more perspective, look at how they handled remaking Liberty City, Vice City, and San Andreas across several split studios on their own.
The initial game also had a huge exodus during development. Rare then TRIPLED the size of the team. I don't have high hopes for game studios these days. More interest out there in what makes money as opposed to whats fun.

@@yetanotheraccount3361 Perfect dark could have been as big as James Bond and the Bond games but allas the marketing for perfect dark was just bad. especially when you consider that Perfect dark would have been a excellent female counterpart for James bond. I played Perfect dark on a emulator a few years back. and stuff like shooting the gun out of a enemy hand and seeing them react to it (be it pulling a pistol (that you could disarm/shot out of there hand), trying to melee you, running away, trying to pick up there old gun or if not possible try and find another weapon to pick up or just plain surrender. shot a enemy in the arm and they would drop some of the larger 2handed weapon or shot whit worse actuacy, shot them in the leg and they would move slower. or my favorite the fact that the AI friend/foe are not synced meaning if you shot a guard whit the AI scramber that makes them see the player as friendly and all its previews friends as enemy. there is two rooms in Room 1 there is Guard A, in the next room over Room 2there is guard B, C and D. lets use a example you shot guard A in room 1 whit the friend foe gun (room two does not know of your existence). Guard A now see guard B, C and D as enemy yet Guard B,C and D still sees Guard A as friendly. so what happen is Guard A runs into Room 2 and last time I did it yells Traitor. Guard B,C and D are confused untill Guard A starts shooting at them where by B, C and D realises guard A is hostil and shots back. and some time you didn´t even need to do that just make Guard C see Guard B shot guard A (but not whit out C seeing you) guard B shoting at the player but hitting A instead.
@@damianson I have an add-on so I can still see dislikes regardless of youtube removing them for the generic person to see. when I first watched the video the dislike button said "dislikes disabled" and when I clicked on it, it said feedback sent to the creator.
@@ToonerSKooner yeah, CZcams has been cracking down on some of the systems that let people still see dislikes. You would think that CZcams would spend their time better by doing things about the major bot problems on the platform.

Because nostalgia but the issue is that perfect dark was revolutionary within old tech. Kinda pointless now.
