I just passed the TN CE Electrical Contractor exam today!!! I’ve had my LLE for about 15 years but finally decided to go all the way. I’ve spent the last couple days watching your exam prep videos (10 week course) and I definitely owe you a big THANKS!!! Your videos were of great value. Keep up the good work! BTW, I also reside in the Tri-Cities (tested at PSI in JC).

Damn ,man I have to give you credit your questions have been racking my brain...I've been away from the code book too long. I have been away for a long time from electrical. I've had 6 heart attacks, 8 stents, blown disc, diabetes, congestive heart failure, removal of my gall bladder, both shoulder scoped and both knees need to be scoped. Also potential good news from the not so fun doctor, he has to do further testing to see if my abnormal prostate exam is cancer. They say I won't make it to 50, I turn 48 next month, i guess maybe the 2023 code book, would be the last code book, i would have to buy b/c I haven't worked since 10/10/21, and I raised all of 3 kids myself, for 17 years, last 1 is still with me he's 17. We are on welfare, meaning food stamps $480/mo to eat on and my son is 6'2", 190lbs, and eats like a refugee, so you can imagine how far that goes, right now, b/c I'm in the middle of a disability case. At the moment, this is how we are surviving and various charities are paying my utilities. And I do have brothers and sisters ans 2 older children a son 20 yrs old, and my daughter 23 years old, and she has a little one who will be 4 in a couple days on the 6th. she is the most beautiful angel in the world. Sorry I got off topic. for, when and if I do ever have money or birthday money if I make it. Sir, since you deal so much with this stuff where is the cheapest place to get a code book I still have family and friends as me questions and run stuff by me I do like to give them the correct answer when asked for their safety sake. but great video you put the content out in a good understandable manner. As we know some of it can seem grey and not cut and dry sometimes.

in some older houses the stove breaker size is 40 amps, I would be interested to know the minimum breaker size and wire size for a stove, what is the norm at this time,

40 amps and 8 AWG copper is the minimum wire size for a range 8 ¾ kW and up. A range rated at 11.5 kW, for example, only draws 11.5 kW when all burners are turned to the max settings at once, which almost never happens, so they Code allows for this. This is still done even today in apartments and budget homes, such as tract homes and manufactured homes as it allows for the savings of wire, and anyone who's paid attention to the price of material can relate.
