Honestly I myself found myself in tears from beginning to the end, and I'm a grown up 35 y/o boy, I don't know how the mother of Saroo wouldn't have been. Very, very strong movie. Wow. I'm alsmost ashamed but I confess, I cried from begining to the end. Even had myself a beer after it. Deserved. )
Saroop...you've have grown into a very handsome young man...and thanks to both mother's...they both loves you very much...one give birth and one groom you into what you have become today...✋👐👏💖💓💗💝👍
I saw interviews of her and she said the film didn't show things. She said Kallu also went with Guddu and Sheru that night. Kallu left sheru and Guddu on the station and left for work. Someone pushed Guddu out of the train. The interview just cuts off abruptly here. That poor woman is living in poverty, she's cleaning other people's houses and washing their utensils for a living.
When people says Saroop not supporting his birth mom... They are wrong....because Bec a use his Australian parents along with Saroop are going to help out the whole family...even his young neices and nephews...as mention in one of his videos...👍👍👍👍👍✋
The main thing was ensuring her that he did not die and is still alive after all these years. Now supporting her, visiting her and buying her a better place to live is the normal way forward. I think people expect him to do something magical now that the main point has been fulfilled when he himself has a whole life ahead of him only being 30 something. No one should spend an unhealthy amount of time with their parents. Everything he’s doing is totally normal and admirable especially considering they live in two different countries now. I think people should stop finding ways to criticize him and just appreciate the amazing and moving story and the accomplishment of restoring his family and making his birth mother’s life an incomparable amount better by informing her that he not only survived but is also making a successful living.
This story proves everything happens for a good reason. If he were not lost then he would be living like poor labour in Indian Streets. Now hes an Australian sir, businessman and even entered Hollywood
Being poor vs being abandoned is a real question. You might think it is good because he is rich and comfortable. But imagine the state of the mother who lost both kids at a go. I'm not taking away from the Australian couple but if he wasn't lost he would have his birth mother till now with him and possibly brother .. sometimes it really is a question that why does God gives so much sadness in first place if later on he does something which is greater good for us. Ask anyone , no one would want to be away from parent if they will get rich later on
It shows that good can happen even after terrible tragedy. It would have been better if his brother didn’t die, he didn’t get lost, and if his family could have been lifted out of poverty. I can’t imagine what his mother went through for the 25 years he was missing. But it’s the best possible outcome she could have imagined for him. ❤
I don't know why, but there is something strange about this man and his reactions. Maybe he feels conflicted, but his responses don't seem genuine. However, I wish them all the best .
You are absolutely right about this guy. He didn't show lion movie to his mother. and didn't even look after her. She's still in India living her poor rural life.
He spend most of his life with his australian family and works there as well. In that age most people don’t live with their parents anymore and since all of his friends are in aus why should he move back to india? He has no good job there, doesn’t speak the language anymore and as he said he visits his mom like three times a year that’s great I’d probably do it the same way
God sent two of his angels to this earth as examples ... Sue and John. Divinity personified. So humbling indeed.
