Trying to decide, Raw or Maverick for my next my next machine, my 700 Kraken is leaking grease from the supposedly sealed gear case after only a few flights, how is the Raw holding up.

Cool Bill! One thing as I have a RAW as well... I am having difficulty nailing down main disc gain. I was hoping by now that K&B would have made a base file and sent to Mikado as the standard 700 size base settings in VBC are no wheres close for this heli. I have now tried almost every main blade there is minus (switch 693) and have found even at only 2100 Headspeed "my max", I am down to 60 main disc gain and still seeing some boom bobble on quick jabs, and sharp stop maneuvers. Main rotor optimizers also not seem to remove these.
What is your headspeed you are running in this flight video here and where have you landed on main disc gain man? Any insight as to things you found in tuning this heli in Vbar?

I would contact Andrew Lachs on Facebook and ask him these questions.

In the video I'm running 2150, but I run 1600, 1900, and 2150 with no bobbles. I'm pretty sure my gain is at 50 and my optimizer is set to 60. The only other thing I could think of is to take your head apart and check everything. Make sure your thrust bearings are in correctly, the looser side closer to the shaft. Also the manual says to only add 1 large shim in-between the head block and grip. Most other goblins you added 1 large and 1 small.

@@cob4lyf04 thanks for response. My head configuration is definitely correct. I’m seeing this on the two RAWs I have and maybe I just have not went “low enough” on the main disc gain. I’ve never had to go even this low down at 60 to get the head firm so it’s abit different for sure. My head damper setup is only what manual states and kit had in it as well.

Great video! I really enjoyed the previous one, the one of the 570 also with Andrew. I would have liked a full flight at the end though. But overall great overview and Bill keeping up with killer content.

Nice helicopter but too complicated mechanics.....no need for belts and gears!!! Let's see what size OMP Hobby comes out with next after the M2 and M1? Direct drive main and tail drive -simple design after I tried it I don't want any other!
