Excited for you man! I just released my very first one last Saturday and oh man, the feeling of sharing my work in physical book form has been unbelievable. Looking forward to it!

Chris, thank you for continuing to make deep dive videos on the artistry of photography. I learn a lot every time, and its those nuances that I find harder to learn then the purely technical aspects of the art form. It was dope seeing you shoot with Mike Gray and his crew, you're both amazing artists in this medium, excited to see more of your work as you continue your journey, much love from a fellow photographer!!

I've always loved shooting in black & white! Up till now, I could never put into words why I shoot in b&w but you explained it so well.

The intro to this video SLAPS. Where the questions articulate the difference way more than a bland 2min explanation ever could.

It's really different when you try to shoot in B&W. It's like you need to activate your B&W eye instead of your normal everyday vision. Amazing video 🔥

composition does change when the photo is intended to be taken in B&W

That a new preceptive for black and white, changed my mind actually and made me think of a new "not completely new" way to present my work and my vision. great topic, thank you!

I do that too in weddings. If there are too many mixed lighting temperatures (tungsten w/ daylight), I throw that puppy in BnW.

This is a few month old video and not sure if you are still looking at the comments @chris , but when you show pictures if possible it would be very helpful to see what camera / lens / film if possible. I see some of these beautiful photos and wonder if I can get the detail on cameras I have or if they are out of scope because of the resolution isn't there.

I understand where you are coming from. B&W in my opinion is a type of film where it can tell a story in the photo and it can be made the main focus of the photo. With color, it has the capability of telling a story but can be dismissed by the color of the photo. Color can be used for the True color and beauty of the photo.

How do u feel about, taking colored photos, and turning it into black and white in post? That’s what I do. I have a Fuji xt 3 so I feel like turning it into bw takes away the film simulations side of things. But that’s just my opinion. I like options so I do the post production editing if needed. Sorry if that was confusing.

oooooo I gotta try a CCD sensor! I heard great things about the M9 (and it's corroded sensor, but everyone is replacing them so it's fine now)

I paid a LOT to have it changed just before they stopped making them. So mine is considered ‘new’ You SHOULD give it a try!
