Was happy to carry them instead of a pair of Jbl Prx 718’s and Prx 735’s . For the setup and tear down it was really gravy and everything including topend, cases , cords and lights fit in the back of the tahoe with out having to let the seats down .

This is a better positive/neutral review about JBL speakers. Thank You!. As for about people comments for the wobble etc. It is all about to push a button, turn a button right or left...no need to move button's to see if wobble or not.. neither the column....why would you do that?...fellows..set the equipment, turn on the volumen, leave it alone and enjoy. keep in mind that these are portable, mobil equipment..manufacturer are trying to get the best in a compact lighter package. Plastic parts? yes... it is the way to go if you want something light... and still sound great. It is a speaker with electronic components and not a toy to toss it around.. take care of the equipment and will last longer. Would you toss around your Car GPS, Phones, TV / Cable remote controls? no you wont and those are also plastic....so...nothing wrong with plastic or wobble parts. It is all about how you take care and you the stuff. Thank you.

JBL is a good sound system ,decades ago JBL speakers's covers were wood and heavy to carry , now companies are making speakers covers using plastic with Neodymium Speaker Magnets ,very light weight, i got the Bose S1pro ,later the JBL one compact , when i connect the mic in the Bose i notice there was not too much treble in the response of high frequency and i found out the Bose give you 18,000 Hz frequency and does not have delay ,only reverb, after that i bought the JBL one compact ,it took me one week to set up the sound i like ,is a little hassle to set up with the phone, but was worth ,JBL have 20,000 Hz frequency , have a delay .this JBL is 17 lb , good volume, and the battery last more than 7 hours.

By the way, I've just done an interesting sound check. I was interested in the new JBL PRX One column. Good sound, slim optics, on-board EQ, compressor, etc. Simply order one from Thomann and test it with Bluetooth from Spotify and music from the DJ controller. Bluetooth was kind of bad. Not really brilliant. Disappointing. Then connected the DJ controller. That sounded better. BUT. Then I let the JBL compete against a Yamaha DSR 112 - it wasn't a 10 or 20% difference - it was worlds, day and night! CLEARER, BETTER, COOLER, NATURAL :-)) Then with the fresh JBL impression, both yammies set up - and the sun 🌞 rose. I will now get myself suitable subwoofers. The test proved it impressively: conventional speakers beat every column in terms of sound quality.

My EV ETX12's, RCF HDM45's, dB IG4T's and my Nexo PS15's are all clearer than the prx. This upload is really about travelling light with easy setup/teardown at a low cost with a column pa rather than cables, poles, tops and heavy subs that all need multiple power outlets

I can't find any video's on a review with a full band. I'm tired of lugging two 15" Yamaha subs / PA's / Monitors all of the usual gear for smaller 100 people winery / brewery "outdoor" gig's. In your humble opinion, do you think there enough bass for a drumset? 2 additional bits of info... I will be using a Behringer XAir 18 bluetooth mixer and sending these JBL's to that.. Telling you the honest truth Kelli, I have never put a drum set through the PRX or a full band. I'm usually running guitars, keyboards and/or vocal microphones through it. As for outdoor drum set performance, I don't think these will compete with your double 15's for the necessary impact.
Alternatively Kelli buy & try. Many stores have a return period if the product doesn't suit, I would recommend giving that a go. There's no harm in trying

The manual says from the mixer to use an XLR/XLR cable to both JBL's although on the JBL's there in only a Pass Thru out, 4 mic inputs and 2 1/4 inch. Confusing! Another great review. However, not being hight adjustable is a deal breaker for me and should be for any dj imo. What good is a great sound or powerful output if it gets blocked by the 10 closest people to the speaker ? Sure, not every time, not in every event, but it will happen, it will limit you, and for that if I had to choose - RCF or DB technology are the ones to choose from. Still nice to hear about what is apparently a good product from JBL.

I just don't think settling for a system where you can't do that is the smart decision/buy. If (and it's a big "if") there is any difference in sound/looks/weight between the systems - I think it's marginal and not worth the lesser flexibility of not being able to adjust the hight of the speakers.

    • @opaz.

Doesn't sound good with the qsc sub. That 18 is far too distant from the column with its small tweeters. There is a noticeable gap with the mid punch. If you had the dBES1203 sub that would be a totally different matter and much more perfect match

If I put my mic in one channel and my backing tracks through another, as soon as I start singing, the volume on the other channel (the music) dips... and then turns back up when I stop singing. I can't have that happening at gigs, so I put my mixing desk through 1 channel to prevent this, not ideal as I bought this to have a compact PA, and the sound distorts so easily through the desk. Sometimes, it also seems to randomly turn off if you mess with the controls too much, like it can't cope. I'm just stressing that I made an expensive mistake with this! Hi Opaz, been watching a few of your great videos lately, many thanks for that!!
I just blew one of my old JBL eon15" and I need to get a couple of speakers ASAP, but I wanted to upgrade especially to get more power as the Eon´s were running short in some venues.
I´m looking for a couple of speakers that have more than enough power for outdoor or big venues where sound gets lost easily, with 100-150 people on the dance floor (maybe sometimes going up to 200). Weddings, so mixed music, mostly dance classics on MP3 so top quality is not the most important feature, but light (ish) weight and easy to move speakers are what I´m looking for.
Now I´m trying to decide between 2 different concepts, 2 JBL PRX ONE´s or 2 RCF Hdm-45A.
What do you think? AT the moment I think I prefer the HDM´s, but can´t seem to find them in europe anywhere. Will the JBL PRX ONE be almost as powerful?
I´m frightened of getting them and missing some more power.
I wouldn´t get an extra sub for the HDM either, already got a EV 18 sub and don´t take it because it´s too hard to move on my own.
    Thanks mate!!!!

Miles, I have just started with live outdoor performances myself, for many hundreds of guests. I think you'll need bigger than 12" column subs outdoors. Those dance classics will need much beefier subs
I have just purchased a couple of RCF NXL- 24a's which I know will work for 500 outdoors but they also need huge subs
Tricky one as outdoor events are a little new to me. I'll have a think on this one

Do not... I repeat DO NOT buy this system. There is a HUGE overlooked design flaw. This system sounds great when you are standing up in an optimal position to the top segment. BUT lower yourself down a little bit, such as sitting in a chair, or raise the speaker such as on a stage and it's all gone. You'll only hear mid range and bass. All the high end clarity is absolutely gone. They even mention the lower speaker are tuned to mid range. Why, friken why!? Fire the genius behind this failure. If you are not at optimal listening position it absolutely sucks! I tested this today at guitar center. Had 2 of their guys listening. Then I said squat down just a little and see what happens. Both said Wtf. We even tried leaning the system down. Which works of you again are located in the optimal position. And who wants to lean the speaker??? The bose 16 has a J configuration just for this issue. The bottom speakers curve in. The JBL, not only are they tuned to just mid frequencies, but they are also straight. In guitar we also went about 20 ft away and you still get the effect of losing sound by not standing exactly at a certain level. I sat on a drum thrown as if it was a place where people sit down at regular height chairs. The throne was actually a bit higher and still lost the highs. It sounds like a regular speaker with a blown tweeter/driver. Absolutely RIDICULOUS! And by design. Smdh!
Don't believe me? Go test it yourself.
If you want to use it, and have no issues telling everyone to please stand up while I use this system, then buy it. Other than that it's worthless. I ordered one as well as a guitarist I work with. We both canceled orders after hearing this absolute craziness! Jbl I am ashamed of, and embarrassed for, you.

I agree. Pro8 doesn't stand a chance. Only 3 channels, only 1 effect and NO battery. Shame about the EV 30M also NO battery... Ouch!

Not a reliable CZcamsr , not enough time with any speaker to discuss about in a responsible matter as for technical issues or performance. In addition this CZcamsr refuse to read equipment operator manual Tu get the right answers to others . This CZcamsr it is all about to pass forward what people say etc. like a typical news reporter which is all about create confusion to get attention. I will have to accept that he conflicts himself when video title say about “ problems” but then he talk great stuff about the equipment. I will also accept that he will be an awesome employee for QVC or any of those tv shows that sales purses etc. thank you . No need to reply back .

Old school winding knobs take for ever to turn. The app don't work. The reverb is totally unusable.& Cannot even plug in a separate reverb unit cos no return &send. This is not a professional pa it's no more than a karaoke machine not even fit for that cos of the very very very poor reverb. This pa worth no more than $500 & would not recommend this JBL prx one to any one
