  • Kenneth Seeskin, "What the Guide of the Perplexed is Really About"
Roz and Ralph Halbert Fund in Jewish Studies
It is generally agreed that Maimonides' Guide of the Perplexed is one of the greatest if not the greatest book ever written on Jewish philosophy. Unfortunately there has never been agreement on what the book is actually trying to do. This lecture will try to clarify things by emphasizing what Maimonides says about the limits of human knowledge.

That's a really good interpretation of Rambam's views and rationalism in general, thank you for the video

humility is the way of perfection = attain the rank of Rabbi Akiva.
this Rabbi Akiva thing, knowing the limitation of human mind, knowing that there is something Beyond human mind, "the soul will find rest, eyes will be delighted"... to enter the Palace... clearly Maimonides was a mystic, a Kabbalist.
