Over the past five decades, the University of Toronto has developed one of the best and most comprehensive Jewish Studies programs in North America. Jewish Studies faculty offer courses in numerous disciplines, including archaeology, art, history, languages, literature, performance, philosophy, political science, religion, and sociology.

The Low-Temperature Melting Pot: Inter-Ethnic Relations among Immigrants in the Israeli Transit Camps
The Transit Camps, or “ma’abarot” in Hebrew, absorbed nearly three hundred thousand Jewish immigrants during the “Mass Aliya” (1951-1948), the wave of migration to the Newly-founded State of Israel. As the temporary living spaces of newcomers from different ethnicities, cultures, and traditions, these camps confronted their inhabitants with the realization that their Jewishness was the only element tying them together. This lecture will explore the challenges camp inhabitants faced as a result of these differences, and the methods they used to overcome them, focusing on the inter-ethnic tensions and collaborations around language, religion, and education.
Hila Shalem Baharad is a lecturer in the Unit of Culture Research at Tel Aviv University’s School of Cultural Studies. Shalem Baharad is a social historian whose research examines Israeli culture, Mizrahi culture, immigration, and the development of temporary living spaces. Her work uncovers the experiences of Jewish immigrants from Arab and Muslim countries and the origins of social stratification in Israel.

Einstein was German; that's all 💡
Quoth Einstein: ""I'm not a Communist but I can well understand why they destroyed the Church in Russia. All the wrongs come home, as the proverb says. The Church will pay for its dealings with Hitler, and Germany, too." Figured I'de lead with that. Sure, technically he was German. It is good to see many Germans now recognize him as the treasure he was. He never learned another language, besides German. (At least not well. His English wasn't great.) He was also the "Public Enemy #1" of the Nazis, according to Time Magazine's article with url of (time [dawt] com [slash] Einstein-England ) Its hard to put Einstein in a box. This is because he was very prolific in his writing, changed his views perhaps a bit over time, but also because he lied through his teeth on certain topics (religion, mainly) He had good reason to; any smack talked about one of his ancestors would have destroyed his influence, or possibly led to violence against him. But after the Shoah, he had a bit of anger in him. (understatement of the millennium) Hence the quote. Other similar ones (all from Wikiquote) include " "I don't like to implant in youth the Church's doctrine of a personal God, because that Church has behaved so inhumanely in the past 2000 years. The fear of punishment makes the people march. Consider the hate the Church manifested against the Jews and then against the Muslims, the Crusades with their crimes, the burning stakes of the Inquisition, the tacit consent of Hitler's actions while the Jews and the Poles dug their own graves and were slaughtered. And Hitler is said to have been an alter boy!"

it's called JEWISH supremacy... maybe white people get pissed off when you blame all the bad things Jews do on them, and them call them "anti-semites" when we point out the fact that you did these bad things? maybe that is one cause for "anti-semitism" Jews not acknowledging the horrible shit they do and then take supremacist positions on top of it?
