I could of achieved the same results by washing it alot, but i guess this saved time, but is not the result i was hoping for..

Considering blue is a super stubborn color to get out, this actually did a pretty good job for one go.

  • @moonmothh
    @moonmothh Před 9 lety +28

It probably did its job the best it could've, blue is extremely hard to lift. If you did it two or three more times the dye molecules may have a lifted a lot more. All in all, you could probably achieve the same results just making your own color remover at home (hot coconut oil, laundry detergent with shampoo or head & shoulders with baking soda, etc).

    • @stephskylarr

When bleaching you want dry unclean hair.
When dying you want dry clean hair.

Bleach your hair with dry DIRTY hair. The greasiest grossest unwashed hair that you can stand. The natural oils helps protect your hair from the bleach. You can also add coconut oil, argan oil or any oil to the bleach mixture. I've used conditioner in the bleach before but it seemed to affect the lift.

Good luck getting it out, I did the same thing and it stained my hair. The remover pushed the blue deeper into my hair shaft. Two bleachings later it was a minty green and I just dyed it purple since I was sick of it. After the purple faded to pink (I faded it fast) there's a tad bit of mint in it still but mostly blonde.

Im sure i read when using it that the de-colour stripper is NOT to be used for removing colour like you tried...... thats what the colour B4 is for ( everywhere was sold out for me too of the colour b4 so i had to get the stripper) I'm pretty sure it said is meant for natural dark hair to try and lighten it slightly. considering you've had blue on your hair a while its lifted really well.

The point of a colour stripper is to strip as much colour as possible out, and will make also it easier for it to bleach as it won't need to work through so much colour pigment, anything left after stripping is what has been stained into your hair. I don't think anyone has ever had any success completely removing colour with a stripper!

Many colour strippers are designed to use on NATURAL colours, and I don't know if that's why the pink came out so well (reddish tones???) But just for future reference, colour strippers work best on natural colours of hair. Like color oops, probably this product, etc.

I know you have already dyed it blonde, but I would suggest the next time you try to remove blue dye, first, use the vitamin c method. Then, once you hair is more pastel, use a color remover (hydrosulfite, not effasole). I hope that helped!!!

There's a hair remover her in the USA called color oops extra strength. U can find it on amazon. But if I ever have the money I'll have to buy it and send it to you. It's non powder it's all liquid and doesn't do as much damage. U will have to use a deep conditioner after cause u have to wash it for about 15-20 mins.

Depending on how dark your hair color is or how pigmented (like yours) it can take 2 - 3 times to completely get the color out. It doesn't mean it's a shitty product since you only used it once. :/ I used one to get rid of some dark purple on my hair and it turned what was purple green. Then I used it again later and it got the green out. It takes time and patience.

I don't know why but it's really difficult getting blue/green colour out of your hair.
When I got tired of having blue hair that had faded into a light green colour, I dyed it a pinkish red thinking it would completely disappear.
What happened was when the red faded I was left wish a very ashy green colour that would NOT wash out... I thought the only thing left to do was to bleach my hair again. WHICH i did but even then I was still left with a very very light green. Eventually after dying my hair red many times the green did go away but it sure was a nightmare.
Even though I want to dye my hair blue again, I'm scared to because of the aftermath. :'C
Sooo I'm just sticking to peach pink for now.
